Ryan Mills went from Pro to a heroin addict. Now he’s getting his life back together and crushing it on his bike again!

As some of you may have heard last year, Ryan Mills is a recovering heroine addict (TJ Lavin interview with Ryan) after an injury that lead to pain medication that spiraled out of control and took his life over. In this video, Ryan talks about his drug addiction, how it all started, how much he was spending and what got him to turn his life back around. It’s a pretty wild story, but we’re beyond stoked to see Ryan back on the bike and using BMX as a way to stay busy and keep himself off drugs. It turns out, he still crushes it on a bike, too! It’s pretty wild how peoples lives can take some serious twists and turns. Ryan Mills was a Pro rider that basically disappeared a few years ago and didn’t really hear anything about him. It turns out he ended up taking a trip down a road with drug addiction that basically destroyed his life. Ryan has been working his ass off to get his life back and has been sober for close to a year now, and he’s been willing to tell his story to hopefully help others that might be caught up in a bad situation. Ryan has been getting back into BMX to help him stay sober, which has been really beneficial for him. TJ Lavin had Ryan stop by to sit down and tell his story for the latest “Hangin’ with Lavs” interview. This is definitely an interview you’ll want to check out.
