Matty Cranmer Tells The Story of How He Broke His Leg

February 23, 2017

Nobody said riding BMX was safe, but if you didn’t ride and only watched Scotty Cranmer‘s Youtube channel, you would assume people breaking things is way too common. The other night Matty Cranmer broke his leg and is down for the count for 6-8 weeks. Here’s a video where Matty talks a little bit about how it all went down and tells you all the very tough details. However, now that Scotty and Matty are BOTH down, they decided they might as well be productive and teach Big Boy how to Rocket Manual. So, get the story from Matty, then watch Big Boy try and figure this classic trick out!

“OUR BAD LUCK JUST CONTINUES! MY LITTLE BROTHER MATTY JUST BROKE HIS LEG RIDING AT MY SKATEPARK ONLY FOUR DAYS BEFORE HE WAS SUPPOSED TO LEAVE FOR AUSTRALIA FOR A BMX COMPETITION THAT HE HAD BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO FOR MONTHS NOW. With Cory coming off a broken ankle, Vinny coming off two broken feet, and myself coming off a broken neck we are dwindling down. When it comes to people riding for the channel but there is one man left that loves to ride his bike and he starts today, the big boy! With me and Matty being hurt, we figured it would be an awesome opportunity to teach big boy a new trick! This time we are teaching him a rocket manual behind our bike shop! Also break down the crash footage of Matty breaking his leg!”

Scotty Cranmer – Getting My Forehead Back

February 20, 2017

A video giving you a look at Scotty Cranmer’s head post skull surgery!

Last week Scotty Cranmer had surgery to get his skull back after a few months of having a missing piece to allow for his brain to heal from his accident. Scotty decided to record the whole process with a few words before the surgery, then a little post-surgery footage. After that, we get some updates from Scotty over the course of a few days at home. It’s awesome seeing him looking like he used to minus the big line of stitches across the top of his head!

Just as a heads up, this video is a bit graphic, but it’s amazing seeing the before and after!

“So the time has finally come, my last surgery in what has been probably the longest journey of my entire life. When my accident first happened in Vegas a few months ago I had some complications with one of my surgeries. As a result of that I had a really bad brain bleed and the only way to fix that was if the removed the front portion of my skull. As you all know I have been pretty excited to have my skull put back in, but I ended up getting a plastic piece made perfectly for my head to put back in because my original skull was to badly damaged in the crash. The surgery went great, I have some footage of before and after the surgery, and then Big Boy came to check up on me and you guys will get to see the end result at my house. Its crazy think to think that this was the last major thing I had to do other than just recover, but it is so awesome to see myself in the mirror again with my normal look. If you guys have any question for me and the Big Boy about the entire experience we are doing our first live stream tomorrow at 4pm to answer any of your guys questions, so be there! Thank you so much to everyone that subscribes to the channel, likes, comments, and continues to show there support. I really appreciate it. Love the online crew that has come along with this channel, hope you guys enjoyed this one!”

Crazy Incline Club Session

February 16, 2017

There’s always something crazy going down at the Incline Club…

Scotty Cranmer coming through with a video from a post-snow storm private session at the Incline Club with Matty Cranmer, Big Boy, Dom Simoncini, Cory Berglar, Brooklyn, Mike Shimak and Andrew Simoncini. Hit play to watch these guys go section to section in the park throwing down some real good riding all along the way. It’s safe to say things got pretty heated. Check it!

“So it was incredibly cold outside that day and it snowed a bit. Enough to not allow us to ride outside but not enough to do anything cool with. I told BIG BOY to round up the boys so we could have just a session at the skatepark something that we haven’t done in a while. It started out nice and light then out of no where Big Boy turned the heat up after crashing over and over again and getting mad resorting to an angry fake front flip. We hit BK’s bowl, rode the street section, and then made our way into the big bowl session. Tons of crashes, tail whips, backflips, flairs, front flips, and just good times. I even got a trick today as well. Comment below and let us know what you thought about this session who had your favorite trick.” – Scotty Cranmer

Kicked Out By The Cops

February 15, 2017

The curse is not broken and they get kicked out by the cops!

Scotty Cranmer, Big Boy and Cory Berglar decided to take advantage of some warm weather that hit the East Coast the other day. They made their way to a pre-fab skatepark for a session that definitely had its ups and downs… Mostly Big Boy on the down side of things, but it’s all good. Hit play to check out what went down before they were kicked out by the cops. Check it out!

“We rolled up to a new skatepark in New Jersey, we have never been here before but we figured since it was 66 degrees out we would give it a go. All of the younger skateboarders were there that are local to the park and they were super fun to session with. I love being back out riding with the boys, we had so much fun. Flair challenge turned into quite the challenge. Big Boy bends his brand new rail as well as gets a nice little spinal on the cursed rail. Cory goes down in the mini ramp. Big Boy and Cory get some good clips on the BMX bikes and Big Boy grabs a clip on the skateboard. Then to top that all off we got kicked out by the police because Big Boy is just to intimidating to have at the park I guess. All is ok though because I am out having fun with my friends and that is what it is all about.” – Scotty Cranmer

Scotty Cranmer Gets His Skull Back

February 14, 2017

Since many of you are keeping up with the progress of Scotty Cranmer since his terrible crash back in October, here’s a fresh update that we’re sure you will be pumped on! After Scotty’s surgeries, they had to remove part of his skull to let his brain heal, which is why he has been rocking that helmet in all the recent episodes on his Youtube channel to protect his head where the skull was missing. Everything was healed up, so doctors were finally able to place a new piece they custom made to replicate the piece of skull that was removed to properly protect Scotty’s brain. Above is a photo post-surgery and below are a few words giving you an update on how it all went! Stoked to see the final surgery wrapped up!

“I officially have a forehead again! But there’s a lot of pain that comes with it. I have a lot of recovering to do, there are over 50 stitches in my head and a tube to drain out fluid.. disgusting! But this is the last surgery that I need from this accident and I’m so happy to say that! Thank you all for the well wishes I truly appreciate it!” – Scotty Cranmer

UPDATE:

Here’s a look at the post surgery photo without the wrap…

“The wrapping is off and the Doctors decided it was time to remove the tube that was draining from my head! I’ll tell you honestly this was not fun at all.. They pulled the drain out while I was awake and then gave me stitches to close the hole! But the new forehead is looking great and now it is time to focus on the healing of this Frankenstein scar I’ve got! Thank you all for the support you all have been amazing!”

“So its official I have resigned my contract for HYPER BMX and I could not be more happy to tell you guys that it is Official. So I told Big Boy to pick me up and take me to the bike shop so I could build up my new bike with the HYPER BMX team. Then after we built it up I sat on a bmx bike for the first time since my crash and it was amazing. I went to the skatepark after for a pizza jam and it was amazing time. I am so glad I got to see a ton of riders in once place it’s been so long. Also Big Boy goes for a flair world record. Hopefully you guys all enjoy this one.” – Scotty Cranmer
