Shadow Conspiracy – Jabe Jones Welcome to the Family

February 10, 2016

It was only a matter of time before Trey Jones younger brother, Jabe Jones found himself getting picked up by sponsors. Today, The Shadow Conspiracy have dropped his official welcome BMX video to bring the news of Jabe’s addition. Jabe’s style is definitely unique and he has an approach similar to his brothers that finds unique and original lines and spots to ride that most of us wouldn’t see. Watch as Jabe drops off a bunch of roofs, cruises Trey’s backyard ramps, takes a swim, drops more roofs and puts in some time on rails, ledges, a few skatepark clips and even some trails. Talk about all over the place. Highly suggest you check this one out because it kicks a lot of ass! Yeah, Jabe!

“The Shadow Conspiracy is proud to welcome to the family 16 year-old, Orlando, Florida ripper Jabe Jones. Brother of Shadow pro Trey Jones, we have been watching Jabe grow to become one badass rider. From huge roof drops to wild can-can landers, Jabe is making a style unique to him that will surely get you stoked to go out and ride. Check out his edit and join us as we welcome him to the Shadow family!

The Shadow Conspiracy have caught up with Johnny Devlin for a fresh Bike Check giving us a closer look at his current setup that has seen quite a few changes. As many of you recall, Johnny has been running brakes, 3 pegs and a cassette for quite some time. After “What Could Go Wrong?” filming wrapped up, he decided it was time to make a drastic change to his setup to freshen riding up for himself. Johnny is now brakeless, pegless and on a freecoaster which is complete night and day from where he was before. You can check out more photos and get a full parts list by visiting The Shadow Conspiracy website here — Johnny Devlin Bike Check

Sneak Peek: Shadow Conspiracy – Simone Barraco Grips

February 2, 2016

shadow-conspiracy-simone-barraco-bmx-grip-1

The Shadow Conspiracy giving us a look at the new Simone Barraco signature grips that are due out next month! These grips have a unique look that fits Simone’s personality and style so well, along with a few features that will help keep them from wearing out on you quickly. Get the full scoop below!

“Shadow pro Simone Barraco (@simobarraco) is very particular about the parts he rides. When we started this project, he had a very clear vision of what he preferred in a grip and what would suit his riding style Through riding daily, Simone determined that he wore grips out prematurely on the outside, so we designed the ribs there to be thicker and wear resistant. On the inside where he wants maximum comfort we have used our proprietary rib design with the correct height and width to make that happen. In between we have tapered the thickness of the grips for a smooth and good looking transition. Thick 7mm ends and our DCR material make them durable and comfortable. A performance grip for a high performing rider!

Arriving in stores and mail orders in March!”

Sneak Peek: Shadow Conspiracy – Contender Tire

January 14, 2016

shadow-conspiracy-contender-bmx-tire

The Shadow Conspiracy have released another sneak preview of what they will be releasing in their March drop. Above is their new Contender Tire that we got a preview of back in September during Interbike 2015. The Contender tire will be available in two versions; Featherweight and Welterweight. The Featherweight version will feature a folding kevlar bead and a 120 TPI (Threads Per Inch) thread count making for a lighter weight tire that is more ideal for park and dirt riders. The Welterweight features a wire bead and a 60 TPI and is more ideal for street because it has a sturdier construction with the thicker threads. Both tires will feature the same multi-surface tread pattern with deeper grooves and thick lines to provide plenty of traction without sacrificing a smooth rolling tire, a 110 PSI rating and sizes of 2.20″ and 2.30″. No color options have been announced yet, but we would imagine we’ll be seeing a splash of color on these at some point.

The Featherweight version will weigh in at 18 oz. (2.20″) and 20 oz. (2.35″)
The Welterweight version will weigh in at 22 oz. (2.20″) and 24 oz. (2.35″)

Both versions of the tire will be hitting BMX shops and mail-orders that carry The Shadow Conspiracy worldwide in March!

“Johnny Devlin’s section in our full-length video “What Could Go Wrong?” was absolutely SAVAGE. From day zero, Johnny came through with some of the gnarliest and most unique moves we’ve ever seen.
