Over the years we’ve seen footage from the place, but it looks like it keeps getting more and more dialed! “Shawn Shimkets has been building up his backyard into his own personal paradise for several years. A few times a year, he sends the invite for everyone to come meet up, have some beers, and enjoy all his hard work. I did a straight-forward riding edit from his halloween jam for Ride last year and this time, I felt like riding for a majority of the day, so I kept it simple this time around and just filmed a few clips (after I ate shit, haha) and got some words from Shawn about his spot. It’s that time of the year again for a Halloween Jam in Shawn Shimkets crazy backyard trails and pool spot! As always, the trails were dialed in and some crazy costumes came out. Hit play and take it all in.

“Every Halloween Shawn Shimkets has invited anyone who was down to come ride his rather epic backyard trail setup. This year it just so happened to be over 90 degrees and absolutely perfect outside…well, possibly a bit hot when you’re riding in a gorrila suit. Nothing crazy here…just a dope backyard setup, friends, and some laughs. Thanks for making it happen, Shawn.

Shoveldick Halloween 2015 Jam

Here’s a gem we spotted over on Can You Dig It from the Shoveldick Halloween jam at Shawn Shimkets’ trails out in California. As always, they get pretty creative with the costumes and things get a little weird when one of the guys gets naked, but otherwise the trails look like they were running smooth as always and plenty of good times were had. “Shovelin” with Shawn Shimkets

Spotted this over on Can You Dig It and got so stoked. Shawn Shimkets did what a ton of us dream to do and that’s tear up the entire backyard to build a dialed set of trails to ride. This video gives you a look at the yard, some riding and the story of how these trails came to be. So good.
