Simple Session 2018 is less than a month away… Here’s one to get you excited.

With the 18th round of Simple Session approaching quickly, there’s no shortage of riders getting excited for the annual trip over to Tallinn, Estonia for a weekend of wild riding and partying. Here’s a short but sweet teaser for this year with footage from last year! We can only imagine this will be nothing short of another wild year.

Max Chuprina – Simple Session 2017 Lost Clips

Proper Bike Co. came across some clips they lost of Max Chuprina riding at Simple Session last year…

With Simple Session 2018 right around the corner, it’s no surprise that people are finding footage from last year they never used. Proper BMX happened to have a bunch of Max Chuprina clips that needed a home, so they whipped up this quick edit with a bunch of real solid riding in it! Take a peek and start preparing for a flood of Simple Session footage soon.

“We followed Max all the way to the his 6th place in street finals at Simple Session. In the weeks following the BMX media went in to Simple Session overload. Willy Wonka’s contest.

So we sat on the footage and kept sitting until it was long forgotten. Low and behold the 2018 contest is just around the corner and we’ve now bang up for some Simple Sesion clips again!

Simple Session 2018 Course Sneak Peek

Simple Session have unveiled a sneak peek of their 2018 course design…

With Simple Session 2018 coming up, there’s been some buzz about what the course will be like this year. Today the crew dropped this sneak peek video giving you a look at a rendering of what the course will look like. They’re usually really good about making it look exactly how the drawing is, so we would imagine it should look a lot like this. It appears to be more street friendly with some bigger aspects on the ends and on the one side. It will be interesting to see how the street guys use the bigger ramps and the ramp riding guys use the street side for sure.

As expected, Garrett Reynolds will be heading back to Simple Session in February! The crew at Simple Session caught up with Garrett to talk about why he loves going to the contest and what it means for BMX. The other weekend was the Simple Summer Session over in Riga, Latvia where a bunch of pros rolled into town for the park and street contests! Here’s two very dialed recap videos giving you a look at what went down over the course of the weekend! Also, mark your calendars because Simple Session 2018 is going down February 3rd and 4th!

“In the summer of 2017 one of the most anticipated BMX events Simple Session traveled south for the first time. At the peak of the Nordic summer it headed to the very heart of Latvia’s capital, the spectacular city of Riga. The best BMX park and street riders from around the world went head to head on a massive Wessel designed outdoor course on the city’s legendary Freedom Monument bridge. Also skateboarding best trick went down.

With 17-years of history under it’s belt the Simple Session has grown into one of the most prestigious and international action sports contests in the world. Besides the notorious winter-season event series, Simple Session has hosted its comps during the summer in the very heart of Estonia’s capital Tallinn and Finland’s capital Helsinki. Now it was time for Riga.

The Simple Session celebrates everything that is amazing in BMX and skateboarding bringing the whole BMX and skate world together for a fun time of incredible riding, parties and friends.

Simple Summer Session 2017 Highlights

This past weekend was the Simple Summer Session over in Estonia. A bunch of riders from around the world turned out fro the Park and Street contests and the crew from Freedom BMX were there to take it all in. Below you can check out a ton of highlights from the contest. Plenty of crazy riding, and it looks like everyone had a real good time! Check it!

“The organizers of the Simple Summer Session 2017 in Riga made a very special location for their contest: the square in front of the Freedom Monument in the center of the Latvian capital. This is almost as if in Germany a BMX competition held in front of the Brandenburg Gate. After all, this 42-meter-high monument is the most historic square in the country. As a simple session, a bunch of well-known drivers came to Latvia, including Alex Donnachie, Kostya Andreev and Daniel Dhers, as well as a German delegation consisting of Daniel Tünte, Leon Hoppe, Moritz Nußbaumer and Felix Prangenberg. Unfortunately, the latter could not go with the contest, because he had twisted the knee shortly before arrival. Fortunately, the injury is half as wild, Felix ‘ribbons are definitely still intact, so he will soon sit back in the saddle. Until then, we wish him a good recovery! Even without the participation of the freedombmx Streetfahrer of the year 2016 went it during the contest well to the point. Here is our video with the highlights of the day. BS’ing at Simple Session 2017

You have watched all the Simple Session highlights and saw all the crazy riding, but you haven’t had the chance to see all the hilarious antics going on off the bikes and less than serious practice sessions. Ryan Fudger VLogged super hard during the contest to get some of the gold that you don’t normally see when you see footage from a contest like this. If you are looking for a ton of laughs, this is the BMX video for you.

“I let this one sit on the back burner for a bit, but bullshittin’ never dates. When I originally set out to film at Simple Session, I wanted to do a traditional highlight video with well-mannered interviews. That didn’t happen. I still sprinkled some of that in, but what you’ll find here is…ummm…19 minutes of very, very serious people talking about BMX. Because BMX is very, very serious…people.”

Just when you thought you saw everything from Simple Session 2017…

We’ve seen plenty of footage from the live streams to the highlight reels from Simple Session 2017, but here’s something a little different. This video is a bit of a highlight reel, but it’s not about who made qualifiers and finals, but who was there and some of the amazing riding and fun everyone had there.
