In a day and age where you probably can’t even count the number of BMX related videos you have watched in a day due to the constant stream of social media, videos being shared on Youtube and Viemo, etc. It’s always pretty crazy how something you watched a really long time ago stands out to you. Paul Covey recently went on a little mission to find out more about an old, old VHS video that was called “Chasing The View Off The Cliff that came out of the Pennsylvania area back in early 90’s. It’s an interesting read and it’s safe to say Paul had a lot of fun digging into this one. Check it all out over on the Snakebite website.
“Blueprint” – Seth Kimbrough Section
Here’s a little blast from the past for your viewing pleasure! Snakebite have just uploaded Seth Kimbrough‘s section from the “Blueprint” video that came out way back in 2001! This is a very short, but sweet section filled with street and skatepark gold. Hit play and soak up this goodness.
“Seth’s part was a happy accident in the video. He had been hanging out with Bruce Crisman a lot and between him visiting Portland once, Bruce visiting Seth in Alabama for a few days and us being at Woodward for a contest we came up with this sick little part from Seth that i think gave the video a fun little twist.”
“Blueprint” Crash Section
When it comes to riding, there’s always going to be crashes… Some gnarlier than others. When the guys were filming the “Blueprint” video back in 2001, there were A LOT of heavy slams that happened. Here’s the crash section from the video that’s bound to make you squirm at least a little bit! Hit play and take these BMX crashes in! It’s safe to say by now these scars have healed up.
“This is one of the most brutal wreck sections in a bmx video. Infact i would think in any video. Serious carnage in here!” – Snakebite

Now this is a great way to start your Sunday morning off right! Here’s a fresh podcast interview with Chase Hawk to check out! Snakebite‘s Shad Johnson and DIG’s Rob Dolecki sat down with Chase to fire out a bunch of questions for him to answer from getting his start in Racing to what he has going on these days (well, as of last year when this was recorded). This is a great listen, so grab yourself a cup of coffee, kick back and enjoy!
“Shad Johnson and Rob Dolecki sat down with style G-O-D Chase Hawk on a rainy day last Spring (2016) at his townhouse in Austin for Chase’s first podcast. He covers a lot of ground, including his first exposure to BMX at 9th Street, his racing days, witnessing the explosion of the Austin population and riding scene, stealing sandwiches from Wawa during summers staying in Bethlehem, taking everyone’s money via Cee-lo on Road Fools, his Born and Raised comps, how Cult grew so fast, the Joe Rich influence, wrapping up the soon-to-be-released etnies video ‘Chapters’ (Chase’s part is going be an epic one), witnessing an intense beat-down in South Africa, and just a ton of good stories!” – DIG
Mike Lund “Decent” Section
The final section from the “Decent” video has arrived…
Snakebite coming through with another section from the “Decent” video for your viewing pleasure. This time around we get Mike Lund‘s section that is packed with skatepark, street and trails action. This has plenty of cranked turndowns, plenty of grinds and more! Check it out! This section does NOT disappoint.
“MIke pulls in the last part of Decent with crazy tweaked turndowns & big bombs down rails! Mike was born and raised in Eugene so its fitting he finishes the video!”
Snakebite BMX – Mat Hoffman Interview
The crew over at Snakebite coming through with another rad interview for you to check out. This time around Lee Sultemeier caught up with the one and only Mat Hoffman to talk about everything from his favorite bands and beer to grinding the first rail, Hoffman Bikes beginning and future, hucking backflips over doubles for the first time and more! You can check out the full interview on the Snaktebite website — Getting Loose with Lee – The Mat Hoffman Interview
“Decent” Wreck Section
Crashing sucks, but it’s hard not to watch somebody else do it…
Snakebite coming through with another section from the “Decent” video for your viewing pleasure. This time around, we get one of the ever popular crash sections that are always hard to look away from and even harder to stop yourself from laughing, swearing, making a weird “OOOOOOH” sound or a combination of all three. The wreck section from “Decent” has BMX crashes from street missions and skatepark sessions. This one isn’t too gorey, it looks like maybe one or two T.K.O’s, but overall pretty tame for a crash section… Which is a good thing if you are one of the guys filming for the video, right? Hit play and check it out!
Adam Perez “Decent” Section
Snaktebite are always uploading some serious goodies from the past. Here’s another example for your viewing pleasure! This time around we get a look at Adam Perez‘s section from the “Decent” video that is a mix of park and street action, with a good mix of tricks and style. Anyone else notice that massive sprocket and what appears to be a chrome Alex Triple Wall in the back? Classics.
“Adam holds it down on some NW concrete and streets in his part from the Eugene area midschool classic ‘Decent’.”
