And we’re back! After a week off, thanks to me slacking during Texas Toast, we’re back on it with the Products: column! Waxing a ledge sounds way too simple to have a how-to video about, but here Gremlin introduces a new step tot he process that I have never heard of. It really should help, though. Also for those that don’t know, his tip about waxing the side of the ledge can make a big difference. After the educational part is done, he and some Daily Grind homies jump on the newly waxed spot and hammer out some lines.

Troy Merkle is one rider whose riding has always stood out to me. There’s something about the way he puts all four of his pegs and freecoaster to proper use that really looks good. When his part from The Daily Grind DVD dropped online the other week, I started thinking it would be a good idea to get ahold of him to take a closer look at his bike. It just so happens that he currently has two setups that he’s running these days; one for street and one for flatland. So we decided to do a bike check for both of his bikes! This guard is CNC machined from 4140 heat-treated chromoly and designed to take some serious abuse.You can pick this guy up for $42.99 on the Daily Grind Web Store or you can have your local shop hit them up directly to get yourself one ordered up. Otherwise, I’d imagine they will be available on Dan’s Comp in a few days.
Spotted this one over on The Merged. It looks like The Daily Grind guys have a new guard sprocket coming out soon that’s looking real solid. If there’s one thing I know about these products is that the team beats the shit out of their stuff before they ever release anything. Keep your eye out for this one.
