Pierre Blondel Bike Check
Head over to The Merged to check out a bike check with Superstar‘s Team Manager, Pierre Blondel. There’s also some extra questions in there and one answer I 100% agree with…
“What direction are BMX prouducts going? What is the future?
Trends are always changing. In recent years many brands went into too light stuff, really short rear ends, higher bars, low seat tube etc. It has already started to take over most bikes but I think that brands will all come back to “normal” bikes. I mean we don’t need to have a frame which weights 1,8kg (4lbs), 10″ bars seems a bit big, lower seat tubes a definitely too low. This is my opinion, but I think that we will find the good balance between what we had 3 or 4 years ago and what we will have in 2 or 3 years.”

Yakob Swyer – Strike Day
“Easily one of the most creative and original riders coming out of the South of England, Yakob Swyer gets it done in this locally filmed edit by Sam White exclusively for The Merged, Oberzine and The Boardroom.
Yakob has been a good friend of mine for a few years now and I’ve always been astounded at how underrated and under-looked his riding is when compared to the rest of the local talent. This edit is does a great job of showcasing Yakob’s individual riding style that I’m sure you will all enjoy. This is only a brief glimpse into what this guy is capable of, expect big things soon…” – The Merged
Ken Spaulding from Zodiac Engineering Interview
About a year or so ago, I sent Ken an interview about Zodiac Engineering that slipped through the cracks and ended up not happening with his mega work load. I’m psyched that The Merged caught him at a good time and got an interview about the company done since it’s real interesting and I think it will give you a few ideas of what’s to come in the future with some BMX products like that T1 Cyclops stem. Check it out!
