Chase Dehart, Tony Hamlin, Corey Martinez and Nathan Williams made a stop at the Les skatepark for the Etnies and Dan’s Comp tour a few weeks back. This is the Hot Butter edit so expect the official edit from the tour to drop soon.
This Is Not The Dan’s Comp / Etnies Tour Edit
This not the official edit from the Dan’s Comp and Etnies tour they did recently. It’s just a few “scraps” that feature Edwin DeLaRosa, Chase DeHart, Corey Martinez, Nathan Williams, Tony Hamlin, Aaron Ross and Christian Rigal (who was supposed to be filming? haha). The full edit will drop with the full story in the next issue of DIG.
Journeys Backyard BBQ – Minneapolis
Tomorrow morning I’ll be making the drive up to Minneapolis for the Journeys Backyard BBQ at the Maplewood Mall. Corey Martinez, Nathan Williams, Ruben Alcantara, Brian Kachinsky, Aaron Ross, Tony Hamlin along with some of the Etnies skate team and Metal Mulisha dudes will be doing demos and signing autographs. They will also have bands like the Plain White Tee’s playing. If you can make it, do it. It’s a free event and it’s going to be a damn good time!
Etnies X Dan’s Comp Tour – NYC to Chicago
“etnies and Dan’s Comp team riders Chase Dehart, Tony Hamlin, Corey Martinez and Nathan Williams are gearing up for their East Coast Tour. From the Big Apple to the Windy City, the team will be making three stops along the way for riders and fans to meet up and ride with the team as well as scoring free product from etnies and Dan’s Comp. The tour starts in NYC on May 18, ending in Chicago on May 28th. ” – Etnies.
Nike 6.0 – The Pool – Round 3 Picks
Today, Nike 6.0 dropped Harry Main and Brian Kachinsky’s teams for The Pool. It looks like Harry Main went with some of the new guys who have been blowing things up lately, and Brian went with experience. This is going to get interesting. Regardless, I want to be at this event. Hey, Nike my calender is open those days.
1. Harry Main (UK)
2. Alex Coleborn (UK)
3. Ben Wallace (UK)
4. Kyle Baldock (AUS)
1. Brian Kachinsky (US)
2. Chris Doyle (US)
3. Kevin Porter (US)
4. Tony Hamlin (US)
Tomorrow they will drop Garrett Reynolds and Sebastian Keep’s choices. I’ve got a few names in mind for Dennis’ team, Ty Morrow and Augie Simoncini are on my list… Did Ty get picked yet?
Bad Timing Promo
Apparently, I caught on a little early with the post I made about Is This Bad Timing last night. I completely blanked and forgot about the video these guys made back in 2006 called “Just Kidding”. They’ve revived the brand and things are looking promising in 2011. Here’s their first video back featuring Tony Hamlin, Brett Tocco, Geoff Slattery, Darryl Tocco, and Aaron Smith. Must see of the day!
“BT started years ago. We would save up whatever money we could to go on trips and make a shirt or two occasionally. Basically it was a good excuse to travel with my best friends and make videos, which I’ve always been into. Over the past few years it got neglected, but this year with more support and time we are resurrecting it. Almost all of the crew have been down since day one, and Jay Roe, Tony Hamlin and Lloyd Wright now round out the rest of the crew, along with some close friends from the South Jersey area.
The promo was filmed with a chunk of the crew during a week stay in Rochester and Toronto, with some random trip footage also included. Keep an eye out for edits as we compile footage for a 2012 release. Thanks guys!” – Darryl Tocco
Is This Bad Timing?
I came across an interesting tag that Darryl Tocco dropped on Twitter. It said #IsThisBadTiming, and for some reason I clicked on it. It lead me to the @IsThisBadTiming Twitter, which then lead me to the site, IsThisBadTiming.com. For some odd reason, there’s been chatter of this for about a month and I never even noticed until today.
I’m not really sure what it’s all about, but with the line up of what looks like Darryl Tocco, Brett Tocco, Tony Hamlin, Geoff Slattery, Aaron Smith, Jay Roe, Randy Brown, Lloyd Wright and a few others, there’s bound to be something big coming. The first real post read…
“So, here we go. We’ve all been talking about this for a long time, and we finally buckled down and did something about it. We aren’t trying to do anything crazy; some shirts here and there, and some videos to check out. The crew is made up of a close group of friends that just want to kick it and ride, and that crew will continue to grow and evolve. Hopefully you’ve checked out the promo on the front page, and continue to check the site for random updates and some video content. BT has created a lot of good times for our small fam over the years, and hopefully we can get a couple more years of fun out of doing whatever we’re feeling. Keep a smile, wherever you might find yourself. Bottoms up!”
I guess this means we will have to wait and see where this goes. There’s a video up on the site, but it’s currently locked. As soon as it becomes available I’ll give you a heads up.
Kink – Aaron and Jay Did America
Aaron Smith and Kink team manager, Jay Roe, made the drive from Long Beach, California to Rochester, New York. During the week long trip they made stops along the way and filmed the riding they got in between driving stretches. They met up with Sean Sexton and Jason Owens, Allen Twin, Tony Hamlin along the way. This was not filmed by Darryl Tocco.
