Drew Bezanson’s Wild Wallride at the 2014 Toronto Jam

March 2, 2014

Ride BMX just dropped this clip of Drew Bezanson doing that crazy wall ride at the Toronto BMX Jam yesterday during prelims. If you remember, Drew did this last year during finals, so I can only imagine things can only get wilder from here.

“What can you say? The dude is on it…this is just prelims, too. Filmed by Justen Soule“

2014 Toronto BMX Jam Trailer

January 29, 2014

Over the years, the Toronto BMX Jam has seen A LOT of changes and it sounds like this year will be nothing short of a good time! Check out this trailer from some of the past years riding and get full details for this years jam below!

“It’s that time of the year again, the largest BMX contest in Canada is one month away. This year we will be having Ladies, Amateur, Expert, and Professional BMX classes. Since the Toronto Jam is at the Toronto International Bicycle Trade Show which is geared to all styles of riding, for the first time we will be hosting a Professional Freestyle Mountain Bike Invitational on our course. The judges will be the highly credited Mark Losey, Leigh Ramsdell and Mark Filipowicz. The format will be the traditional 4 riders on the course jam format, this does not mean 4 riders riding all at the same time, etiquette will be important.
To also make sure our riders are taken care of as much as possible we will have a private rider lounge on site. A free meal will be provided by Caper’s catering each day for the riders and we will also have complimentary chiropractic care and massage therapy. Joyride 150 will be having a session Saturday evening with a complimentary shuttle service from downtown and back.
There will be a $15,000 prize purse as well as some amazing prizes from; Ten Pack, Krusher, Woodward, Nike, Markit Denim, Joyride150, McDonalds, Outdoor Gear Canada, Acklands Grainger, Inflow Bike Park and more to come.
Register NOW at torontobmx.ca This year we have a pre pay option, you can also pay at the Jam upon arrival.

Best of 2013 Toronto BMX Jam

March 6, 2013

Over the weekend, the annual Toronto BMX Jam went off and it looks like they made some improvements to really put some life back into the event. They updated ramps, brought in some of the old Metro Jam ramps and let the guys get loose. Check out some of the wildest riding that went down in this new video!

“Check out highlights from the Toronto BMX Jam with riding from Daniel Sandoval, Glenn Salyers, Mike Gray, Zane Bradley and a bunch more. Sit back and enjoy the highlights from Canada’s biggest BMX jam in this Best Of.” – Alli Sports

Toronto BMX Jam Finals / Recap

March 6, 2012

Here’s some more footage from what went down this past weekend at the Toronto BMX Jam. Above you can find a video from the finals from Chase Davidson. Below you can find a video from Leigh Ramsdell!

“Last night, we jumped into the 2012 Toronto BMX Jam coverage with a new video from BMXFU’s Charlie Crumlish that mainly focused on Drew Bezanson’s insane lines. Today, we’ve got another video from Leigh Ramsdell — this one features the pro class and best trick, along with some even more insane lines from Bezanson.

Since the late ’90s, the Toronto BMX Jam in one form or another (Battle of Elsinore, Metro) has served as an unofficial beginning of the BMX content season, and organizer Mike Heaton continues to produce one of the best events of the year. If you’ve never been, or didn’t make it across the border because of an unruly member of your party in the back of the van, this is what you’re missing. Video by Leigh Ramsdell.” – ESPN

2012 Toronto BMX Jam Course Preview

February 24, 2012

Here’s a 3D rendering of the new Toronto BMX Jam course. It looks like they finally will be putting those old Metro Jam ramps to use along with a few new things. The contest is going down next weekend, so if you can make it out, be there! I know I’m rolling up with a heavy crew from Milwaukee and Detroit so a good time will be guaranteed!

Toronto BMX Jam 2010 Photos

March 10, 2010

Alright, so I finally got a chance to upload a bunch of photos from the contest! It was a chaotic last week or so and have been playing catch up since yesterday. After the jump you can check out like 75ish photos from the contest along with a little story from the fun that was had. Also, make sure you check out the REPO on the Dig website that I put together. It’s 18 black and whites that I had.

Toronto BMX Jam 2010 Trip

March 3, 2010

Photo: Google Images

Alright, today has been a long awaited day for me. Today I pack my car up and head over to Milwaukee. I’ll be meeting up with Jon Wells, Jeff Dowhen and a few others where we will be loading up the Sun Ringle van and making the trek up to Toronto for the jam this weekend. I’ve never been to the land of Canarnia, or out east at all really, so it should be a fun trip. The game plan for me is to document the trip as well as I can and post up photos, words, and maybe a video from the trip between here and the Dig site. Given the wi-fi might be limited so these updates could go on into next week after I return on Tuesdayish.

So if you will be in Toronto this weekend I look forward to seeing you, and if not, I hope I can at least give you a little insight as to why you should go next year.

Check back tomorrow or Friday for something.
