Angie Marino on TSG

May 24, 2012

Angie Marino is riding a little safer these days…

“TSG further expands its female team and is proud to announce the latest addition in BMX: Welcome to the international pro team, Angie Marino!

Angie Marino is one of the best female BMXers in the world and one of the most influential voices of female BMX riding. Founder of Yeah Zine (YeahZine.com), an online site and printed mag for girl BMXers, Angie publishes girl BMX content and motivates girls to go riding. She is a true role model and spreads the good words of BMX from a girls point of view.

Angie was hooked on riding the minute she could ride without training wheels and started racing at a young age. After a break of some couple years she picked it up again and started riding skateparks and trails. Today Angie travels the world for contests and promotes girl BMX riding. She just ended up 3rd at the FISE in Montpellier.

“Angie is a great role model in the girl BMX scene as she is a passionate and talented bike rider.
This makes her the perfect fit to join and enrich our pro team.
She will definitely play an important role for our women’s protection program.
I am stoked that our male dominated BMX team with Brian Hunt, Ricardo Laguna, Alessandro Barbero, Patrick Guimez and Markus Hampl now gets some female flavour”,
says Nadja Herger communication manager at TSG.

Angie rides with the Nipper Maxi helmet and the Shinguard BMX Tailwhip protector.

Welcome to the team Angie!”

Product: TSG – VEP Pads

May 2, 2012

Sure, the chest protector really isn’t what you need unless you are blasting the Mega Ramp, but these new knee and shin pads from TSG look pretty dialed. Here’s a little info on this new VEP line they sent through…

“TSG INTRODUCES VEP
Swiss action sports protection brand TSG uses new visco-elastic material for bike soft protectors

Soft is the new hard; however, just jumping on the bandwagon would have been too easy for TSG. Instead, the Swiss protection gear brand aimed at combining the benefits of soft materials with the ones of hard materials. TSG’s brand new VEP line offers a super accurate fit with supreme wearing comfort, outstanding damping capabilities and great flexibility, while providing reliable protection against penetrating objects.

TSG uses the new VEP material for its knee and elbow soft protectors of the current spring 2012 collection. Profiting from the new material technology are the Nose Dive Timo, 2nd Skins, Kneeguard Task, Kneeguard Slim, and Frag Shirt Advanced.

Soft and pre-shaped 3D protection pads adapt to the wearer’s body features and anatomy through body heat, and they don’t slip either. This is achieved through TSG’s famous horseshoe shape, which entirely wraps the upper elbows and knees.”

Product: TSG Evolution Helmet

March 1, 2012

Looking for a new helmet? Give the TSG Evolution helmet a look. With the number of dudes who have knocked their head hard the last year or two, it’s never a bad idea to protect your noggin.

“Featuring our custom Low and Snug Fit, the Evolution helmet sticks to your head like no other shell. Anatomically shaped it smoothly curves around your head for great fit and wearing comfort. We took a complete new approach when developing the Evolution as the helmet is not only molded on front and back as common halfshell helmets but is also greatly shaped on the sides. The Evolution is the choice for almost our entire BMX team.”
