Colony – Slam Factory Jam Highlights

February 7, 2019

The Colony team was in full force at the Slam Factory Jam!

The other weekend there was a jam at the Slam Factory Skatepark down in Australia and the Colony team had a heavy presence there! Here’s a video giving you a look at a ton of highlights from the Colony team and some of the other riders that showed up and threw down some bangers. It looks like it was a packed house and nothing short of a good time!

“Team riders Alex Hiam, Josh Dove, Jayden Fuller, Dean Anderson and Clint Millar, headed to Slam Factory Indoor Skatepark on the Central Coast in January to bring some of the NSW scene together for a good old fashioned jam. While the various crews who made the trip to Slam had unique riding styles — from tech-wizards in the bowl to trail-lords on the box jump and street-dogs on the flatrail — everyone had one thing in common; a massive smile on their faces as they shared a fun night riding bikes, catching up with old friends and making some new ones. Up-and-coming videographer Ben Norris from Sydney’s Northern Beaches came up to document the good times and this edit is the result.
BMX is welcome at all times at Slam Factory, so if you wanna ride there with your mates or pick up some Colony BMX products, check out http://slamfactory.com.au for opening hours.

PRIMO – TURBO PEDALS PROMO

February 7, 2019

Get a look at the new Turbo Pedals from Primo!

Is it time for a fresh set of BMX Pedals? Here’s a look at the new Primo Turbo Pedals for you to check out! These pedals feature a pedal body that covers more of the spindle so the body sits almost flush with your crank arms eliminating that gap that’s usually there, which is designed to help with pedal grinds! Get a look at the pedals in the video above, then learn more below!

“When Connor Keating approached us with this idea we knew instantly that it was something that we had to try to make a reality. The Turbo pedal has a unique body shape that covers the end of the axle giving a near flush connection to the crank arm. This allows you to have much more foot placement freedom when standing on the pedal as well as more grip, an improved surface contact area for modern day crank arm grinds and an all-around more aesthetically pleasing appearance. The pedal can be tightened via an Allen bolt on the backside of the spindle and also allows for the use of a thin park tool style pedal wrench.

(Make sure to grease your spindles so they don’t get stuck in them cranks!)” – Primo

The Turbo Pedals are available now for $19.99 in Black and Tiffany Blue through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Primo worldwide now. You can check out more photos and details on the Primo website!

What do you think of the Turbo Pedals? Do you think that smaller gap between the body and the crank arm will make a difference? Who plans on trying them out? Let us know what you’re thinking in the comments below!

Cancelled Crew – What Now? Johannes Winkelmann

February 7, 2019

The Cancelled Crew over in Germany have been releasing sections from their “What Now?” video series, and it looks like this one is wrapping up with a real solid section from Johannes Winkelmann that’s filled with grinds for your viewing pleasure. Take a look!

“Ending it with a bang! The guys of the Canceled Crew complete their “What Now?” Video series with the part of Johannes Winkelmann – and he has it, as befits a real final boss, in itself. Which is not surprising, because after all, the high-drop luminary feels really comfortable on mighty staircase sets and lifelong house roofing abysses. Not to mention his penchant for sketchy handrails, which he prefers backward attacking. In short: Here is a lot of the finest action offered. What Now?

SUNDAY BIKES – “I’M MILWALKIN’ HERE!”

February 7, 2019

If you’re going to take a trip to the Midwest, you can’t go wrong with stops in Milwaukee and Chicago! Sunday Bikes sent Chris Childs, John Mayo and Jeff Dustin up that way this past summer and it looks like they had a blast stacking clips while cruising both of the cities! It’s also good to see some fresh Jeff Klugiewicz footage since it’s been a minute! This turned out damn good, so take a look!

“Chris Childs, Mayo, and Jeff Dustin took a B-CAVE trip out to the good ol’ Midwest. First stop Chicago, where the Chicken and Waffles squad showed the boys all the grit the Windy City had to offer. A short 90-minute drive later the crew made it up to MKE to cruise the streets of Brew City where massive amounts of custard and shred were consumed. Shoutout to Jeff Dowhen, Jeff K, John D, and all the dudes who came to cruise.” – Sunday Bikes
