Product: Kink – Viridian II Hub

Is it time for a new front BMX Hub? Has your old one finally called it quits after plenty of abuse? Maybe it’s a good time to take a closer look at the Kink Viridian II front hub. This hub starts out with a fully CNC machined 7075-T6 aluminum shell with an extra wide flange offset and 36 spoke holes. Inside you can find two precision sealed bearings and a hollow 15mm 7075-T6 aluminum female axle that uses the Floating Axle System with a 7075 bearing spacer. Everything is kept tight with two 7075-T6 bearing cone washers (1 fixed and 1 removable) and 17mm socket and 8mm allen key chromoly bolts.

The Viridian II hub is available in colors of black, blue, bronze, Battleship grey and Crimson red with a weight of 6.9 oz. through all BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Kink Bike Co. worldwide now.

“Roc Bottom” – Intro

Here’s the intro for a new full-length video that Dave Raffa has been busy producing called “Roc Bottom” that will be premiered on DIG over the course of the next few weeks. Check out the intro for a taste of what’s to come and then get the full story below.

“This video is a very accurate rendition of what life was like in Rochester. We went on weekly adventures, drank tons of Genesee, and rode tons of amazing spots. Rochester is a great place and Dave is a true sportsman. Often I would ride down my block to his house for beers, bike vids, and cooking on the grill. Dave is on the hunt for spots and almost always has a game plan of where to go on the weekends. What I appreciate about Dave is he really pays attention to how we all ride bike. He would find spots and if he thought someone else in the crew could do something cool on it, he’d let em know. The vintage Rochester film spliced in between sections reminds me of how enterprising the Rochester, New York vibe is. It’s a different feeling here. Maybe it’s the brutal winters that turn everyone into hearty resilient people. The group section pretty much sum up what it’s like mobbing around town when everyone comes out. Rochester has a great BMX community. I’m honored Dave let me help out with this project and proud of how he put it together. I learned a lot during this video, on and off the bike. Shout out to Dave, Cork, Nick, Tony, Phil, Uncle Dad ( Nate ) and everyone else in the video. I’m thankful to say these guys in Rochester, got a friend in PA.” – Matt Smith

Pro Part – Ryan “Biz” Jordan

It’s not every day that we get a fresh BMX video from Ryan “Biz” Jordan, but when we do… It’s always filled with fire! Ryan has been busy stacking clips with Calvin Kosovich for something special for quite a while and this is the final result. If you aren’t hitting play on this by now… You need to be slapped.

“The idea of the full section, or the “Pro Part”, is something we’ve seen shift with time. As physical DVDs dwindle, more and more professional riders are taking to the web as the next best means to showcase the fruits of their labor. As much as the day to day IG video, or quick street/plaza session-edit has to offer, there’s still something unmatched by the full section formula, consisting of months of blood, sweat, and pain… Ryan “Biz” Jordan has been around for over a decade, he’s invented tricks, placed at major contests, and most importantly he’s filmed countless epic video parts over the span of his lengthy professional career… So who better to kick of this onslaught of “Pro Part’ sections? “Filming with Biz for this project was pretty relaxed I’m basically living on his couch so we could get up and ride any day of the week as long as the spot was weekday friendly. No injuries just good old fashioned clips for this part which was a nice change for what we do on a daily basis. I guess we filmed for like 6 months, I was in Australia for a month in between the filming process so there was a little break as for that it was pretty consistent film days. For those who don’t know, Biz is older than most Pro’s still riding at this high level so it was impressive to see and film these clips with him. It is with much honor to put this together for the world to see, many years ahead with Biz in our industry I’m sure of it. This is what a Pro Bmx rider looks like, don’t forget it.” – Calvin Kosovich
