Rest In Peace, Craig Stevens

BMX lost a great one. Rest in Peace, Craig Stevens.

It’s always hard hearing news of a rider passing. This morning the news that BMX legend Craig Stevens had passed away in New Zealand after a landslide overtook him while working a rescue mission during as flood as a firefighter, along with one of his partners. You can check out the full story on this New Zealand news website. As many of you know, Craig was one of those riders that was absolutely crushing it over in the U.K and in New Zealand, especially in the early 2000’s / 2010’s. Craig had been working as a volunteer firefighter, along with raising a family lately, but that didn’t keep him from riding and more. There was a video released last year where Craig told his story that we have re-embedded below. Rest in Peace, Craig! BMX lost a great one.

Woodward BMX Season 1 – Episode 2: That’s My Teammate
