“Years back riding in winter was a common thing for Russia. Scarcity of skateparks pushed riders to be more inventive and patient. Learning new tricks in snow instead of foam pit, grinding rails with the snowdrifts as protection or just going under any kind of canopy during cold time just to keep the shape somehow — all these seemed to be usual things to do in winter time. There were very few options and they were not available for everyone. This was the local reality.

For instance, guys from “THE BOMZH CREW” ( “THE BUM CREW” in English) were among the first who filmed whole winter parts in which they fought with icy handrails and tried backflips into the snowdrift. They always managed to reflect the absurdity of such actions.
