One Dude, One Day – Dean Florian

Freedom BMX coming through with a new One Dude, One Day video featuring Dean Florian absolutely shredding a few different parks over in Germany. This one has some wild air tricks and a bunch of technical lip tricks. Needless to say, if you want to see some dialed ramp riding, this is the BMX video for you! Check it!

Für seinen “One Dude One Day”-Edit hatte sich Dean Florian ein strammes Programm vorgenommen. Einen Tag vor seinem Umzug von Thüringen nach Oldenburg wollte er noch schnell seine drei Lieblingsparks in der alten Heimat abklappern.

Dass das ziemlich anstrengend sein würde, hatte Dean nicht wirklich mit einkalkuliert. Zumal er ausschließlich Banger filmen wollte, die bekanntlich ja selten auf Eins klappen und nicht zuletzt deshalb ziemlich kräftezerrend sind. Und so pfiff unser jungen Held bereits zur Halbzeit aus dem vorletzten Loch, wovon er sich aber nicht unterkriegen ließ. Im Gegenteil, stattdessen wurden die Zähne zusammengebissen und auf der letzten Rille noch schnell die restlichen geplanten Clips eingetütet. Hut ab vor so viel Sendungsbewusstsein!

Check out German All In rider Dean Florian shredding his home turf one last time before moving away.

For his “One Dude One Day” -Edit, Dean Florian had planned a tight program. One day before moving from Thuringia to Oldenburg, he wanted to quickly check out his three favorite parks in his old home.

Dean hadn’t really taken into account that it would be quite exhausting. Especially since he only wanted to film bangers, which, as is well known, seldom work out on one and, not least because of that, are quite exhausting. And so our young hero whistled out of the penultimate hole at half time, but he didn’t let that get him down. On the contrary, instead the teeth were clenched and the remaining planned clips were quickly bagged on the last groove. Hats off to so much sense of mission!

COVID Cruisin’ – Two Days In Denver

With shutdowns and everything making a mess all summer, there’s been a huge lack of road trips. A few friends decided to try and salvage things a bit and took a road trip to Denver to spend a few days cruising spots. Here’s a look at what they got into from riding to roman candles, bottle rockets and beers. It looks like it was a solid trip despite the circumstances.

When it comes to BMX, there’s a lot of creativity and art involved. What’s really cool is when you bring together a bunch of creative people together for a trip, you end up with something really awesome. Here’s a fresh BMX video from France that brought together a few artists for a road trip to cruise a few spots, bringing their own unique style to the table. Take a look!

“BRISE LARMES (Broken Tears)

After years of taking to the road with BMXers, I had decided that I wanted to experience a trip with artists to see how they would seek their own spots and find anywhere that would welcome their unlimited creativity. So, back in 2017 three French artists Adec, Arkane and Brokovich, along with photographer Maxime Ramoul, jumped in the Volvo for a road trip called “@Iretge” (a word that means ‘heretic’ in the local language).

After ‘painting’ the trails of Mathieu Dubourgnon with some chalk, and making a very cool collab at a skateboard DIY spot, we finished the trip on a wave breaker 200 meters away from the port city of Sète, near Montpellier (France). It was only reachable by boat and when we asked a fisherman to drop us there to paint on some crazy big cube of concrete, I was stunned by a perfect transition to wall that was just begging to be ridden. But we had no bikes…

It would be two years later before I brought back more friends but this time of course they were BMXers. Mathieu Dubourgnon, Cyrill Gay and Nico Cambon really wanted to ride that thing and the city around it.

In the spirit of the original ‘IRETGE’ project, I invited @Soukozart a young French BMXer / artist / rapper to illustrate the video which would be edited by Vincent Biraud (another BMXer of course), and we planned music from @wildbushband (also mainly composed of BMXer’s). An extended story to be written by myself will be out in @roots.bmx.albi fanzine a bit later on.

In short, here is a short little BMX project that took some time to be complete, for a spot that definitely awaits more riders to visit. – Ben Bello
