Oh yeah! Here’s a throwback for your viewing pleasure. Brian Tunney uploaded his old section from the Federal Bikes “Trafaelio” video that came out back in 2004! This is a mix of flatland, street and park clips where Brian mixes the styles all together for a bunch of great riding. It’s pretty wild to think this video part is already 17 years old! Take a look, because this is a real good watch!
“In 2004, Federal Bikes released their first full-length video, ‘Trafaelio’ and for some odd reason, I ended up filming a full part for it. The other day, I was rooting around the garage and I stumbled across it and gave it a watch and still like it enough that I digitized it and am releasing it here. Run-on sentence much? Me too. Anyway, it’s a nice trip down memory lane from the before times, when you had to wait weeks or months at a time to see what was happening in BMX around the world. I’m not knocking instant gratification; this is just a hat tip to simpler times. Thanks to everyone at Federal Bikes and Seventies Distribution for making this video happen, and to Ted Leo for the song. The new Vans X Federal Bikes Old Skool BMX colorway has arrived!
Vans and Federal Bikes released their new “Speed Dial” video featuring Dan Lacey, Bruno Hoffmann and Anthony Perrin in Tenerife. They also released the new Vans X Federal Old Skool BMX shoe colorway as well! They went with a Blue Pinstripe color with black and white accents that looks real good. The shoe uses the classic Old Skool upper, and pairs it with the BMX waffle sole that is designed for proper pedal grip and to take the wear and tear from riding. To go with the shoe, there’s also a long sleeve shirt and hat to complete the kit! The shoes, shirt and hat are available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Vans worldwide now, or direct from the Vans website! “To celebrate the Vans x Federal collection, riders Anthony Perrin, Bruno Hoffmann and Dan Lacey escaped winter with a week in the Island of Tenerife. The excursion capped a very unexpected 2020 and the much needed escape and reconnection of the team after such a long period apart inspired some heavy, creative riding. Not even the announcement that UK was about to return to lockdown, forcing the trip to be cut short could put a damper on the brief moment of collective good vibes. The shared time together reminded everyone that our family and friends are only a “Speed Dial” away.
