The Wethepeople team recently spent some time cruising along the east coast hitting up shops and skateparks along the way. One of the stops was at Wooden Wheels in Newark, Delaware where the crew met up with some of the locals to hang out and catch a session at the skatepark down the road. Our friend and photographer, Brandon Bermudez, was there with his camera snapping photos throughout the visit. We posted up a new photogallery with a few photos from the session for you to check out!
It’s always rad when we get a fresh batch of photos from a photgrapher like Ryan Ogawa in the inbox! We get the chance to see what they have been up to and see the progress that they have been making behind the lens. The other day, Ryan sent through 24 of his latest shots from the Fresno, California area featuring Chad Osburn, Ryan Olson, Reagan Riley, Christian Jackson, Rocco Giuseppe, Joey Gibbs, Andreas Wenzel, Michael Garcia and more getting down on spots for us to check out. We were beyond stoked on what we were seeing and knew there was no way we couldn’t let you guys get a look at this batch of dialed BMX photos! We’ve put the photos together for our latest photogallery that you can check out by hitting the link below! ENJOY!

“On a frosty Saturday morning the Johannesburg Library Gardens were awoken to the sound of bikes cruising in as riders from different scenes and towns from all over SA came together in support the first global BMX day.
The point of BMX day is not about drawing crowds, prize money or a contest format, It’s about drawing the scene closer together no matter how big or small through sharing the common bond of riding bikes.
So without further delay we packed the van, camera gear and set off on a wild ride through the city!
After warming up and clocking some clips at the first spot as well as getting everyone in one place for a group photo to commemorate this gathering it was time to hit the streets, Seeing a huge mob of riders bombing down Commissioner Street is definitely a sight to make anyone who has ever ridden a bike stoked.
With Wayne Reiche and Kevin Schnider capturing the vibe and the visuals you know this is going to be on point. Check out the edit and photo gallery below and get a behind the scenes look at how a bunch of BMX riders took over the streets of Johannesburg !

This past weekend, The Street Series invaded cities in Japan, Latvia, Scotland and the United States with crews of riders getting together and swarming the streets for massive sessions to celebrate BMX Day! Chicago was one of the 5 locations that was selected for the day, and some of the Midwest’s finest got together with Brian Kachinsky and Dan Lacey as they lead the crew from Grant Park Plaza to a handful of the city’s finest street spots. We had photographer Dennis Peralta out cruising with his camera and he came through with a dialed photogallery featuring the likes of Dylan McCauley, Dan Kruk, Trent McDaniel and many, many more! It’s not every day that a set of trails get the opportunity to celebrate their 20th anniversary. Between trails being plowed or crews giving up to leave them abandoned and let all the hard work go to waste, trails life spans tend to be cut a lot shorter than most would expect. However, there are a few sets of trails that have stood the test of time all over the world and one of those are the Gypo Trails in the U.K. The Gypo Trails crew recently celebrated 20 years of good times and BMX at the place with a big jam where a ton of the locals and more turned out for the session. George Gissing pulled out his camera and snapped a few photos throughout the day for us to check out. We’ve posted them up in a new photogallery for you to check out. Life is funny. One day you can be on top of the world, then out of no where you can have your life flipped upside down. Recently, our good friend and one of Canada’s finest BMX riders, Pascal Lafontaine, was diagnosed with a cancer called Ewing Sarcoma in his right foot. Due to the cancer, on June 10th they were forced to amputate his foot and part of his leg to keep the cancer from spreading.
As you can imagine, with something like this it is very sudden and unexpected and because of it, Pascal is being forced to re-learn how to do his whole life with the use of prosthetics. This has also forced him to put BMX on the back burner for the time being until he can get a prosthetic designed similar to Kurt Yaegar’s to get him back on his bike.
Despite being put in a shitty situation, Pascal is staying positive and working his ass off to get back to his life and riding.
Prior to finding out the news, Pascal had shot a ton of riding photos that would be his last before going through the emergency amputation surgery that you can check out by visiting the link below! We have also included a quick clip of Pascal doing his physical therapy to re-learn how to walk! We hope you can all send Pascal some positive vibes to help keep him motivated to get back on the bike, we sure are!
