Jared Eberwein Interview

October 14, 2013

Eberwein Lookback Home Avenue
All photos by Matt Coplon

Jared is one of those guys who I feel like goes under the radar from time to time, then when he pops up in a new edit you instantly are reminded that he’s an absolute shredder on everything he touches from dirt to street and ramps. It’s been a while since we’ve talked to the guy and after hearing some rumors that his insanely popular colorway from Profile might be making a return, we figured it would be a really good time to catch up with the guy and find out what he’s all about. Check out what he had to say along with a bunch of rad photos Matt Coplon shot of him during a recent California trip! Let’s get into this!

Ricky Moseley Interview

October 10, 2013

Ricky Moseley Invert_600x
All Photos by Matt Coplon

Anyone who checks this site on the regular knows I get real stoked on anything that comes from Ricky Moseley. Ricky is one of those riders that not only can absolutely destroy on anything you put in front of him from ramps to street, dirt and even flatland. On top of that, he’s got a super positive and motivated attitude that you can’t deny. I’ve probably said it a 100 times, but Ricky is one of the most under rated guys out there these days! I figured it was due time we got ahold of him to find out what he’s all about these days! Let’s see what he had to say!

Steven Mack Interview + Video

October 7, 2013

Steven is one of those riders out in California that almost came out of no where when Cult fired up their AM team. I didn’t really know anything about the guy, but over time through the different videos he was putting out, I learned that he was damn good on a bike and could ride anything from park to street and trails. I think his diverse style has really made an impact. With a lot of hype building up for the “$mall Talk” DVD building and recently getting hooked up by Profile, I figured it was due time we get to know just who Steven is. How could we make it even better? How about a brand new edit courtesy of Kings Rideshop to go with this? Watch the video then check out the full interview below!

Through The Lens: California Dreaming with Joel Moody

October 2, 2013

TTL_85_Opener_600x

When you spend a long enough time in the BMX industry there will be people that come and go out of the spotlight and Joel Moody is one of those people that seem to do just that. But, don’t be fooled, it’s all for the love of BMX. He has ridden longer than most BMX kids have been alive; he gets supported by one of the best companies in BMX and does things his own way. Joel grew up in a city that supports BMX to the fullest and a place where riding thrives and has thrived for years. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue other goals away from riding but still rides and stays on top of his game. He got into filming years ago and has worked on some solid projects like Empire’s “Chill Bro” so you know he can work a camera. He’s a talented rider and keeps himself busy working in the industry whether it be as a filmer, actor, editor or anything else he can handle. I caught up with him in Silver Lake, California recently to catch up, and just shoot the shit.
If you are as curious as I was to get an update from Joel you will enjoy this for sure.

Photos: Fabien Lefèvre

October 1, 2013

I can’t remember the first time I came in contact with Fabien, but it had to be about a year ago when I came across one of his edits or photos. It’s funny how you can come into contact with somebody on the complete other side of the world because of something as simple as that. Either way, since then, we’ve featured a lot of Fabien’s work on our site between the edits he has produced or the photogalleries he shot photos of.
We were talking recently about getting another photogallery together and I figured it was beyond time we got to know this guy a little better! So check out this fresh Photos: interview to learn all about him, then check out 30 of his photos from a recent Greece trip in this new PHOTOGALLERY! Check it!

Quicky: Cooper Brownlee

September 27, 2013

coop-screen_600x

I’m sure I have said it 100 times over the years that Cooper Brownlee is one of the hardest working dudes in the BMX industry. Between his roles at Colony and Division Brand along with always keeping things with Focalpoint going, there’s definitely always something new cooking for the guy. I figured it’s been a while since we caught up, so I thought I’d hit him up with a few questions to find out what’s new. Let’s see what he had to say!

Insight – The Tripod Seat System

September 16, 2013

david_600x

BMX is pretty unique in the sense that it’s always evolving and re-inventing itself. The bikes from 10 years ago are pretty much polar opposite of what they are today. Complicated things have been re-designed and made to be lighter, stronger and easier to install and maintain. Everything on a bike has been tweaked and changed to make it better, sometimes multiple times.
In the past decade, we’ve seen seats go from railed to the very popular pivotal style. I remember thinking how simple the design was and that there probably wouldn’t be much you could do to make a seat more simplistic and cleaner…
Well, I was wrong. A little over a year ago, David from Fly Bikes introduced the tripod seat system and like a Colorado wild fire in the middle of a drought, we’ve seen this new concept take off with more and more brands starting to offer their own version of the seat and post design with no signs of slowing down any time soon.
We were really curious to know what the story was behind this system, so we caught up with the brains of the operation, David Quesada, to talk a little bit about how this all came about. Let’s see what he had to say…

Jason Enns

After a few months off his bike due to a crazy knee injury, Jason is finally back on it! With a fresh signature frame from Volume, his first team trip already wrapped up and all of the other things he has going on these days, we figured it would be a good time to check in with the guy to find out what’s new! Check out this fresh Quicky to see what he had to say along with some rad photos Mike Escamilla shot! Let’s get into this!
