DIG Issue 83 is finally out and it’s looking to be a real good one. There’s everything in here from Kachinsky, Van Homan, Tony Malouf and Alex Kennedy to The Pool, Almond and Etnies. I’ve got three pages in the Productivity section this issue so don’t forget to check that out as well. Hit this LINK to check out what’s inside and then pick up a copy!
State of The Union
As you can see, the site has changed. The design has been freshened up, and the direction of the site will, in a sense, be changing up starting today as well. Back in 2007, BMXunion was started with no real intension on it going anywhere beyond a college project. In 2011, The Union is becoming a full-time project that will focus on the BMX industry…

Toronto BMX Jam 2011
Tomorrow I’ll be making my way over to Milwaukee to load up in the Sun Ringle van with Jon Wells, Jeff Dowhen, Grant Castelluzzo, and a few others to make the trip to Toronto for the annual Toronto BMX Jam. I’ll hopefully be shooting a few photos, if I can get my pass that I haven’t heard back about. If it goes anything like last year, it will be a good time. It sounds like we will be uniting with most of Team Jeff DuPaul. That’s a good sign. After the trip I will hopefully be able to unleash some news on you guys that I think you will be stoked on. Get psyched.
DIG Issue 81
The new issue of DIG dropped yesterday. Issue 81 features a whole bunch of real good stuff like this cover of Geoff Slattery blaaaaasting an invert on the cover. I’ve got the Productivity section like usual so you can check out a bunch of the new stuff companies have coming through. You can check out the full cover and what’s in the issue after after the jump…

This Is The Spot
Yesterday, Logan Reynolds hit me up with a link to the trailer of his new video “This Is The Spot”. I was pleasantly surprised because I knew he was working on a video, I just kind of forgot about it since I haven’t seen him since we were hammering back free pitchers at Crispy’s the night before the Sun Ringle trip last summer. I’m real psyched about this video because it features some of my good friends, and a lot of absolute shredders from the Midwest scene. Guys like Jeff Dowhen, Reed Stark, Jeff K, Jon Wells and Erik Elstran are just to name a few of the stacked list you can see from the trailer. I’m not sure of the exact release, if there will be a premiere or what, but I’m going to hit up Logan and get some answers about the video. Hit up MidwestBMX.net to find out more for now.
Case Issue 5
I had the new issue of Case BMX Magazine show up the other day. Just looking at the screen printed cover of Geoff Slattery is pretty wild. It’s definitely got more to it than the cover as well.
A few of the things I was really digging in this issue were the Mike Ardelean iPath interview. Mike talks a little about all the different jobs he has had to get to where he today. Mike also talks about the iPath BMX program and Verde bikes things he is involved with these days. Greg Smee has a quick interview about what he’s up to with some real good photos. Also, the Anthem II interview with Stew Johnson by Mark Noble that was a solid read, even after reading all of the other interviews, and such. The photos from Vincent Perraud, Jay Eichhorst and Brian Yeagle to go with the feature are definitely a treat as well.
The issue also has features with Josh Cox, Brian Kachinsky, Brian Hinkel, Paul Heathcote, Vans Kill the Line, Hazelwood spot check, and a Ryan Popple profile and more…
You can pick up a copy at CaseBMX.com or through Wasted Youth in the U.S. All you gotta pay is the shipping and it’s yours. $5.

Photos of the Day: Elstran / Anderson
Last night we had the Anthem II premiere here in Minnesota. The turn out was pretty decent due to the reschedule and what not. I was psyched to see a bunch of people I haven’t seen in probably a year or so which was even better. I ended up shooting a few sketchy photos and felt like posting up two of Erik Elstran and Landon Anderson. Take a peek after the jump.
