Although it took a few months for this footage to make it’s way into an edited BMX video, Catfish finally got it done and it’s pretty easy to understand why it took so long. In August, Zack spent A LOT of time bouncing around Europe, where he rode with a ton of different people at a ton of different places. We took a road trip to Nafpaktos Greece, a tiny little coastal vacation town that has a dope skatepark right on the water. Given that I attend some of the biggest contests in the world..it was so refreshing to come to a place that was all locals. Riders from all over Greece came to party and ride their asses off. I love that no matter where I am in the world…BMX is alive and well. The best part about my trip to Greece was finding out that Reed Stark was also in Greece at the same time, so it was dope to experience a new country with a good friend. —-Funny side note about Reed… Back in the 90s I had a pretty popular website in BMX called Catfishcatfish.com. It was just a silly blog about my life and all the people in it. I made t-shirts and had a dope team that includes riders like aaron ross, Josh Harrington, and 4th Grade, One day I got an email from some dude named Kyle in Minnesota. He attached a picture of a little kid airing on a vert wall and the the email was basically “Hey this is my little brother..hes awesome and you should sponsor him”. One look at a 9 year old blasting a vert wall was enough for me. So I sent him some catfishcatfish.com stickers, a couple shirts, some DK grips, and pedals and that was that. WHO WOULD HAVE EVER DREAMED THAT 11 YEARS LATER I WOULD BE RIDING ALL OVER GREECE AND SPAIN WITH THAT 9 YEAR OLD??? That 9 year olds name was Reed Stark. hahahah! So i included some bonus Reed Catfishcatfish.com clips in here for y’all. After Greece I went to Holland for the Pro Freestyle contest in The Hauge. My initial plan was for Drew Bezanson, Panos Manaras, and your boy to do an outdoor skatepark tour all over the Netherlands with the help of my sponsor Cloud Nine Distro…But it rained the whole week. 🙁 We did get to ride 040 BMX park and that made me happy. Extra Snapchat clips for good measure. Thanks to everybody that made a memory with me in this video. I had the best August ever. Ps. Fuck Frank.
