Over the years, a number of brands have dabbled in bikes of different sizes from 22″, to 24″ and 26″, cruisers, fixed gears and more. Mostly because most people that ride BMX and make BMX bikes are into other styles of bikes, too. Maybe it’s the “older crowd” being more open to other options out of interest or even need. We’re not sure, but Volume Bikes have done a few 26″ bikes over the years and it looks like they have stepped their game up for 2017! Here’s a look at their brand new Sledgehammer 26″ bike that they’re currently taking pre-orders for that mixes 26″ with some subtle BMX style features. This bike starts out with a unique frame that has a 23.75″ top tube length, 71-degree head tube angle, 73-degree seat tube angle (good luck nose manualing this thing and 15.75″ chainstay length. You can find an Integrated head tube, gussets on the top and down tubes, integrated seat post clamp a Mid bottom bracket and the same paint color as the DeMarcus Paul War Horse frame.
