It’s that time again for Ride BMX to have some riders drop a pin. This time around Ethan Corriere and Julian Arteaga spend some time exploring the spots around Garden Grove out in California. Here’s a look at what they were able to find for spots and stack for clips!

“We drop a pin (or shoot a spit wad rather) with Huntington Beach locals Ethan Corriere and Julian Arteaga, only to end up in Ethan’s least favorite city to ride… Garden Grove. The dudes proceed to discover new and old spots, shred them, and even have a bizarre encounter with a group of Subaru enthusiasts… Ethan’s new best buds. Dropping a random pin on your phone to decide where to ride for the day usually ends up leading to a pretty awesome time.

The 4 Pegs crew spent a week cruising the street spots of Glasgow over in Scotland. During their stay, they ended up finding a ton of great spots and stacked a bunch of great clips! Check it out!

Scotty Cranmer decided to test the guys gap to grind skills…

You never quite know what to expect when Scotty Cranmer cooks up a new challenge for the guys to do. This time around he’s given Big Boy, Matty Cranmer and Cory Berglar a gap to grind challenge on a Subrosa Street Rail. The kicker? He had the guys take their chains off so they basically have to run and pump to get their speed! Hit play to see how it all worked and who took the win!

Merritt – Tension Hub Guard Smash Test

Merritt put their Tension Hub Guard to the smash and grind test!

When it comes to testing BMX parts, a lot of it comes down to team riders taking a prototype out and beating the hell out of it, then making refinements to improve it until it’s perfect. But, even then, you have to look into other ways to test things to ensure it’s going to hold up to the abuse a BMX bike goes through. The guys at Merritt released their Tension Hub Guard a couple years back and it has proven to hold up quite nice. They decided to really push things to the limit and did a sledge hammer test, followed up by a grinder test to see how well it could take a beating. Here’s what happened!

“We took the sledge hammer and grinder to our tension hub guard to show how durable it is.The guard easily attaches to the spokes with a simple spring clip that keeps the guard under tension and in place. The tension system is away from the grind side, so it isn’t affected as the guard wears down.”
