Cult X Vans AM Jam 2017 Highlights

July 11, 2017

The annual Cult X Vans AM Jam went down this past weekend at the Vans Skatepark out in California. As expected, a ton of BMX’s finest young guns piled into the skatepark to throw down! Here’s a look at all the action that went down from the little guys and girls to a few familiar faces we’ve been seeing pop up for a little while now! These guys might not be the pros, but they definitely brought the heat!

Madera – How To Fakie Double Peg To Full Cab with Dan Kruk

July 11, 2017

Are you looking for a new trick to learn? Madera just posted up this new How To video with Dan Kruk where he gives you a bunch of pointers and examples on how to get the fakie double peg to full cab done. This is a little more technical of a trick, so it’s going to take a little work to make this happen. Hit play, take it all in, grab your bike and send a few!

“Dan Kruk makes this trick look easy! Maybe he can show you how! Click play to see Dan explain how to dial in the 180 back pegs to full cab out.

Disorientation – Joe Battaglia

July 11, 2017

Joe Battaglia just sent over his latest video where we get a little insight into how he got into BMX and what keeps him in the Midwest versus moving out to SoCal or somewhere with a little more support for BMX riders, his perspective on BMX and more. As always, this is packed with some dialed riding clips throughout! Check it!

“Part three of a five part series; this episode briefly looks into the reasons why Joe has never left the Chicagoland area to pursue BMX.

This was filmed over a few months in early 2017 at various locations around Chicago.

The Back Bone Video – Rhysty Section

July 11, 2017

The Back Bone Video wouldn’t exist without this guy! Here’s a look at Rhysty‘s section from The Back Bone Video that packed full of trails goodness from Australia to the United States. This has a pretty laid back vibe to it, but we’re loving every second of this one. Great riding and some amazing trails. You can’t go wrong with that combo.

“The big dog. Rhysty opened the shop in 2005 and it has been running it down for 12 years. His passion for BMX and building trails has gone on for 30+ years and that passion flowed on to opening the store, as well as travelling the world to visit different trail spots. His section in the video reflects that, visiting trails in West Australia, to Eastern Pennsylvania, to his backyard and his trail spot, Hillfire, in Canberra.”

Stress BMX – The Bespaliy Twins

July 11, 2017

Whenever you see Max Bespaliy and Igor Bespaliy have a new BMX video, you should instantly be ready to see some heavy clips from the streets. The twins have teamed up for their new Stress video and as expected, it’s packed full of clips filled with grinds and freecoaster action. This is a real good watch from start to finish, so get on that play button!

“You saw Max Bespaliy’s banger Stress video last month, now his identical twin brother and Stress teammate Igor is getting in on the action for this rad split video. There must be something in the genes as these two are endowed with a freakish ability for technical rail moves. Watch them tear up Montpellier, France during on a recent trip to stay with Leo Balay.

Dave Zovko – Time Flies

July 11, 2017

It has been a little while since we’ve seen a BMX video from Dave Zovko, but that’s okay because he’s been busy working and staying busy with the family. Although he’s been busy, it’s clear he has still been getting his sessions in when he can and the clips he’s been stacking are dialed. Here’s a look at his latest video that he’s been working on for a while now for Profile Racing. This video is packed full of great riding and some rad spots, it also spans a few bikes, so you know he put some time into this video. Enjoy!

“Do you ever tell someone you ride BMX and they reply “Man, I love BMX! I used to ride but I work a lot and have a family so I just couldn’t find time anymore”? I understand where these people are coming from. Life gets busy sometimes. You have priorities, obligations and riding your bike can fall by the wayside. That being said, I find it incredibly motivating and honorable when riders MAKE time to be on their bikes.

Dave Zovko is one of those riders. Dave works full time at a bike shop, spends a lot of time with his family but in the small sliver of time he gets to ride his bike, he makes the most of it. He shreds hard, films clips, and truly appreciates every moment he has on his bike.

I’ve ridden with Dave a bunch recently and he’s always full throttle. Sometimes he’ll be trying a trick and will literally use every last second he has in the day to get whatever trick he’s trying. More often than not he pulls what he’s trying and immediately after the celebratory fist-bump he’s quickly pedaling away apologetically to pick up his kid from school or headed to work. No need to apologize, Dave! We are all motivated by your love for BMX. Even if it’s a brief moment, it’s always time well spent. This collection of clips is a great example of what Dave’s dedication can produce.” – Brian Kachinsky
