Weird & Revered – Indoor Refuge

June 15, 2017

The latest Weird & Revered video has arrived. This time around Justin Schwanke show us what him and his friends got into during the brutal Canadian winter. Luckily they had a few indoor parks and Justin’s garage ramps to keep things interesting. Check out what went down!

“Weird and Revered’s Justin Schwanke, Ted Bambrick, Logan Kirzinger, Lake Mulligan, Joe Weidman, Tilsyn Inch, Tyler Horness, and Thomas Henderson make the most of the Edmonton winter seeking refugee indoors at Ride N’ Play skatepark and a few private indoor ramp setups. Not only are these guys surviving the winter, but they are thriving despite the challenges it can present.” – DIG

They ended up with at least 1000 people showing up and needless to say the trails sessions, rail jam, live music, video premiere and everything lead to some damn good times! Check out what went down in this recap video!

“WOODSTOCK OF BIKING!!!!”

Carlos Espinosa – Bicycle Joker

June 15, 2017

Here’s one we had pointed out by Brant Moore that we probably would have missed. VC Clothing in Chile dropped this video featuring Carlos Espinosa getting a flatland session. Now, the riding is dialed, but there was one trick in particular that caught our attention…. Carlos has a trick that he calls the “Optimus Bike” where he literally removes the front and rear wheel from his bike mid trick and keeps it going until he jumps off and takes the wheels in his arms like Optimus Prime would in the Transformers (well, kind of… You get the idea.) Although technically he doesn’t “land the trick”, I think that’s the whole point of it… To walk away like a robot with the bike becoming a part of him versus being a bike. Take a look below, the trick starts at the 1:50 mark.

“We caught up with team rider Carlos Espinosa AKA The Bicycle Joker, while we where in Chile earlier in the year. Carlos took us to his local practise spot to get some clips. Check out this flat land wizardry with The Bicycle Joker’s unique style.

X Games Real BMX 2017 – All Videos

June 14, 2017

Earlier today, the X Games unleashed the Real BMX 2017 videos that we have all been waiting to see! We posted up each individual section, but figured it might be easier for people to check out all the videos in one place without having to click around so much. Below you can find all 6 sections from the Real BMX 2017 video contest, which all turned out absolutely amazing. Each rider and each filmer brought their own unique style of how they like to do things and it ended up creating very dialed BMX videos that you won’t want to pass up. After you check out each of the videos, make sure you head over to the X Games website to vote on your favorite video. Your votes will go toward the fan vote that will be announced in a few weeks. Also make sure you watch the full behind-the-scenes show on ABC on June 24 where the judges will announce who got their vote and who took the top spot and why! Until then, enjoy all of the Real BMX 2017 videos below…

Let’s start out with Chad Kerley‘s section that was filmed and edited by Christian Rigal!

Next up, we have Alex Donnachie‘s section that was filmed and edited by Dave Sowerby!

Keep on rolling. Here’s a look at Nathan Williams‘s Real BMX 2017 section that was filmed and edited by Peter Adam!

Back for another round after winning voters choice last year, Colt Fake brought the heat once again with filming and editing being taken care of by Darryl Tocco once again!

Here’s a look at the duo we don’t think too many people could have predicted when they were going to announce the teams this year… Dave Krone – Filmed and edited by Ryan Navazio

Last but not least, here’s a look at Demarcus Paul‘s section that was filmed and edited by Mike Mastroni!

That is all six of the BMX videos that were produced. Like we said up top, these all turned out absolutely amazing and everything from the riding to the film work really kicked ass. We are having a hard time picking a favorite video ourselves, but you can VOTE for your favorite video over on the X GAMES WEBSITE if you know which one is your favorite!
