Crucial BMX Shop – Alex Boyd International Superstar

March 5, 2017

Crucial BMX coming through with a new one featuring Alex Boyd catching some laps in the woods this past summer over in the U.K. It sounds like Alex is making the move over to Canada, so this is a bit of a farewell video from Crucial. It has a chill vibe and is more flowing, style than anything. All we know is we’re more than stoked on it, so take a peek!

“Clips of Boyd putting in some laps from the summer with friends. We wish Alex all the best on the next endeavour in Canada – Keep the stoke HIGH!”

Fakie Obstacle Course

March 5, 2017

Scotty Cranmer has been keeping the guys busy with plenty of ideas to make them do. Here’s a look at what went down in Cory Berglar‘s biggest nightmare, the Fakie Obstacle Course. This one puts Cory, Big Boy, Dom Simoncini and Eddie Rovi head to head on a ridiculous course to test their fakie skills. Check out what went down and who took the win.. and who got broke off!

“We finally got around to doing another fakie challenge! This time around we have big boy, Cory, Dom, and Eddie to take on the course built by the Big Boy! The challenge started with Big Boy crashing on his first attempt! Cory Berglar had a rough day he took the hardest crash of the day and possibly the hardest crash from a 180 in the history of the channel! But he is also the toughest guy I know! After each rider taking five tries to make it through we finally got a new Fakie Challenge champion!“

Vans BMX Pro Cup

“
SYDNEY, Australia (March 5, 2017) – Speed, height, power and originality were in full force today, as the inaugural Vans BMX Pro Cup Series Global Qualifier re-commenced an intense BMX competition in Manly Beach, Australia despite severe weather delays. Beginning with a field of over 30 competitors, Spain’s Sergio Layos seizes the Vans BMX Pro Cup Sydney title, winning first place for executing flawless trick combinations and colossal airs with lightning speed throughout the custom-spec park terrain course. Not far behind him, contest warrior and BMX icon Dennis Enarson placed 2nd, delivering his signature performance, blasting through runs with effortless style and explosive lines. In a well-deserved 3rd place, Larry Edgar surprised all with his fearless momentum, consistency, and creativity, also earning him the LUX Best Trick award for his tuck no-hander to table hip transfer, over the spine.

Finally, in one of the best highlights of the day, Ryan Nyquist, crowd favorite and BMX’s most beloved legend, dominated the park terrain in overall performance, shocking the crowds with one of the most exciting runs of the entire competition, to end with almost landing an insane 900 in the deep end.”

Rich Hirsch – New Stranger and Primo Product Sneak Peek

March 4, 2017

We haven’t been big fans of all the Vlogs, but we’ve been into Rich Hirsch‘s latest videos that he has been putting up on the Stranger channel. The reason for that is because he’s been sharing videos from where Stranger and Primo parts are being manufactured over in Taiwan. Today he dropped a video giving us a look at some of the new products they are currently testing like their new V2 freecoaster and front hub, Crux XL rim, new Stevie Churchill headset caps and tire color, some new bars, a fork and more. Plus, Rich strapped the camera on for some riding to test out a few of the new products before taking a spill. Take a look!

“You win some you lose some… Today I took out my new camera and tried to shoot some ride test shots while testing out some new pegs, and wheels but the spot gods had other plans and I ended up headbutting the sidwalk.

Featuring: @richhirsch

Note: Still working out the kinks in shooting with this new SJCAM M20, need to figure out how to dial in the mount and get it to point up a bit more.”

The Make – Ben Lewis “What’s What?” Section (2007)

March 4, 2017

Since Ben Lewis is no longer riding for Fit Bike Co., the crew over at The Make decided to upload Ben’s old section from their “What’s What?” DVD that came out right around the time he joined the Fit team. It’s pretty crazy seeing what appears to be a tattooless Ben Lewis, but that’s about the only thing that seems off about the video part. Ben slays street spots galore with two pegs (Okay, maybe that’s weird not seeing him with 4 pegs) around England and Spain for this section and it lead to some real solid clips. This one will definitely get the mid school street guys stoked. Check out what Ben laid down for this section!

The Daily Grind – Slider Peg

March 4, 2017

The Daily Grind BMX Slider Peg

Are you on the hunt for a new set of BMX Pegs to keep you sliding on every rail and ledge you touch? The guys at The Daily Grind have released their new Slider peg that’s guaranteed to slide like a trip to the bathroom after you hit up White Castle. Actually, we don’t know if it comes with a guarantee like that because that’s promising a lot. Either way… The Slider Peg has a 4.4″ heat-treated chromoly core with an extra thick 4.6″ German nylon sleeve giving you a little extra length and plenty of grind life. The peg comes with a 14mm bore, but each peg also comes with a 3/8″ adaptor for up front.

The Slider peg is available for $19.99 with additional replacement sleeves available for $5.99 through BMX shops and mail-ordes that carry The Daily Grind worldwide now.

“Blueprint” – Seth Kimbrough Section

March 4, 2017

Here’s a little blast from the past for your viewing pleasure! Snakebite have just uploaded Seth Kimbrough‘s section from the “Blueprint” video that came out way back in 2001! This is a very short, but sweet section filled with street and skatepark gold. Hit play and soak up this goodness.

“Seth’s part was a happy accident in the video. He had been hanging out with Bruce Crisman a lot and between him visiting Portland once, Bruce visiting Seth in Alabama for a few days and us being at Woodward for a contest we came up with this sick little part from Seth that i think gave the video a fun little twist.”

How To Dial In Your Brakes

March 4, 2017

Although brakes aren’t as common as they used to be on BMX bikes, one of the biggest reasons riders ditch them is because they don’t know how to install or maintain them properly. If you have ever had the chance to ride with Jake Whitney, you would know the kid knows how to dial in a set of brakes. After having a bunch of people ask him how he gets his brakes so dialed, he decided to film a How To video explaining how to get those brakes dialed in so they actually work and work super well. The video itself is a little rough around the edges with the filming, but the advice is real solid. Jake talks about adjusting the tension on the arms and the barrel adjusters, properly lubing up the cables and cleaning your rims. It takes a bit of time and effort, but once you have the system dialed in, you will be way more stoked on running brakes. Hit play and take it all in.
