Game of S-C-O-T-T-Y

November 16, 2016

Big Boy, Matty Cranmer and the rest of the crew have cooked up another new game to keep things interesting! This time around they play a game of Team S-C-O-T-T-Y where one of the riders on the team has to do the trick that is inside of the random balloon that pops! This gets real interesting with some of the other rules, so hit play and check out what went down!

“New little game we came up with. Put a trick in the balloon, pop the ballon and do whatever trick is in the balloon with the people on your team. First person to spell Scotty wins!

Anthony Panza On Merritt + Video Bike Check

November 16, 2016

Anthony Panza has joined the Merritt squad! To celebrate, he dialed in his bike with a bunch of new Merritt parts on his Cult SOS Too Short and then proceeded to put it to good use at one of his local skateparks. Hit play to check out the bike and the riding clips! Looks like a dialed BMX bike to us!

“As of 2017 I will now be riding for Merritt (parts), as well as Cult. In this video I built up a new bike in record time for myself. Wrapped it up at my local skate park (Tanner park) with a few clips I self filmed. Wanna give a shout out to Mike Brennan for giving me this opportunity to represent the brand full of riders I genuinely enjoy being around, and also Robbie Morales for holding it down over the years. Very stoked for the future! For those who were curious why I haven’t put out content lately, now you’re aware. No worries, more videos coming soon!”

Blind Trip – Kevin Kalkoff & Thomas Benedetti In Croatia

November 16, 2016

This is a pretty cool concept. DIG and Soul teamed up for a unique trip they sent Kevin Kalkoff and Thomas Benedetti on. Neither ride knew where they were going, but found out they were on the way to Croatia once they got to the airport. Here’s a video giving you a look at what both of these guys stacked for clips during their visit! Although they had no time to plan and possibly scope out some spots early, they didn’t appear to have any trouble coming across spots!

“We’re always proud to support likeminded BMX media people out there so we’re more than happy to announce long time Gallic print bothers Soul as our official DIG media partner for France. Check out our first collaborative release with them below and be sure to go and check out their all new online direction at http://soulbmxmag.com

There’ll be lots of DIG X SOUL projects to come but meantime check out what their editor Ben Bello had to say about the first ever Soul Blind Trip in conjunction with Monster Energy.

“It’s one of those idea that makes you smile when you come up with it, but also one of those idea that complicates your life because you will never give up on making it a reality. The idea was simple and challenging: take a rider on a trip to a city never knowingly visited by Pro riders, and announce the destination when we bring the rider to the airport; just for the pleasure of seeing his face when he learns the news. We chose France’s Kevin Kalkoff (Vans) for this first episode, told him he was going on trip, and gave him nothing more than the date. To add some brotherhood we also invited his brother Thomas Benedetti (Haro/eclat)to surprise him by joining the tour. Both discovered their destination to be SPLIT, in Croatia, a beautiful city on the Adriatic coast with many spots in the surroundings.” – Ben Bello / http://soulbmxmag.com/

Terrible One – 2017 SFA Frame Pre-Order

November 16, 2016

terrible-one-sfa-barcode-bmx-frame-side

It’s that time of the year again! As some of you may know, Terrible One do one big order every year on their SFA frame and unless you get a pre-order in or happen to get lucky enough to pick one of the limited amount of frames through a shop, you will end up waiting another year to get one. Joe Rich just put out the word that he’s taking pre-orders until Tuesday, November 22nd, so that gives you a week to make your move!

The SFA frame is made right here in the U.S.A by S&M Bikes from full 4130 chromoly with a 74.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 8.5″ standover height, 11.75″ bottom bracket height and a 13.75″ – 14.125″ chainstay length. The frame features an integrated head tube, gussets on the top and down tubes, a Mid bottom bracket, integrated seat post clamp, a custom seat stay bridge and heat-treated 3/16″ thick 14mm dropouts.

You have your choice of 20.75″, 21″, 21.25″ and 21.5″ top tube lengths, colors of gloss clear coat raw, gloss black, Dark Roast brown or Deep Sea Blue / Green. You can also choose between brakeless, welded or removable chainstay brake mounts.

Here’s the details on orders / pricing and shipping.

“These should take roughly 8-10 weeks from the time I place the order for the batch. I will require a $200 deposit to hold your order. Frame cost is $395 plus $25-$30 for shipping if you live in the US, but international will be anywhere from $60-$80 depending on where you live. Once again, these deposits are going to help pay for the order, so I can’t thank you enough. The cut off date for pre-ordering a frame will be the end of the day of Tuesday, Nov. 22nd.

We accept Credit card, money order or Paypal. If you choose Paypal, then please include your choice of brake option, top tube size and color in the notes/memo/message part you can add to the payment process. Also, our Paypal address is: info@terribleone.com . And if possible, send via “friends & family” as then we won’t get socked by the fees that come with the other purchase option.” – Joe Rich

Please contact Info@TerribleOne.com for any questions or concerns or to dial in your order!

Shadow Conspiracy – Matt Ray Welcome to the Pro Team

November 16, 2016

Here’s one we knew that we would be seeing eventually when Matt Ray joined The Shadow Conspiracy. Matt has been given the bump on up to the Pro team and he’s kicking things off with an absolute BANGER of a BMX video. Matt is capable of absolutely shredding everything that is put in front of him and he’s no stranger to putting his deep bag of tricks to good use on every one of those spots. Hit play to have your mind absolutely blown by what he cooked up for this one. Absolute MUST SEE.

“Sit down, strap in, and get ready to have your mind blown! Shadow rider Matt Ray’s Welcome to the Pro Team edit is here and it is CRAZY!

After getting the bump in January, Matt set out to put together the best Welcome edit he could manage before it was properly announced to the world. From his hometown of Boston to all over Europe, no spot was left unshredded. Matt’s dedication to his riding and to the Shadow team is incredible and we couldn’t have asked for a better member of the crew. Congratulations dude! You deserve it!

Daniel Dhers is throwing the 1st annual Complex AM contest at the DDASC on December 10th! This is bound to be a wild contest and should give some good opportunity for the up and comers to get some exposure! Get the full details below!

“BMX RIDERS READY TO COMPETE AT THE FIRST COMPLEX AM

Presented by Ray Price Harley Davidson

Holly Springs NC, November 2016: On Saturday, December 10th at 9:00 am, the Daniel Dhers Action Sports Complex located in Holly Springs NC, will be hosting the 1st BMX COMPLEX AM: a competition for Beginner, Amateur and Advanced riders from all over the world.

Pro BMX rider Daniel Dhers, five times X Games gold medalist and owner of the Action Sports Complex, explained the event has been created with the goal of giving the new generations the experience of a pro level competition and to give them a path to pursue a professional career, “I have been competing for over 10 years, I know the impact it can have in your life. Without many amateur events in the country I want to give the opportunity to the up and comers to show and measure their skill level”.

Dhers also selected well known judges in the BMX community such as Mike Laird, Mark Losey and Leigh Ramsdell: “I would like to implement a new scoring system, our current one hasn’t changed since the early 90’s and it’s time to adapt to the new era of BMX Park riding and competition”. The event will also be covered by Bare Essentials Sports Medicine to provide top care for the riders.

The registration fee for all categories will be $33.00 and after November 30th it will be $38.00. Enrollments are available through the DDASC website: ddasc.com. The event is presented by Ray Price Harley Davidson and sponsored by The Shadow Conspiracy, Subrosa, Rant, USABMXF and Lairdframe.”
