Scotty Cranmer Injury Update

October 15, 2016

Here’s an update on Scotty Cranmer‘s current situation with his injury from a really bad crash in Las Vegas. Big Boy took over the camera to explain what’s going on over the course of the past few days, what Scotty’s current situation is, the plan for everything and more. We also get some insight from Scotty’s dad that gives us a little more detail. It sounds like he’s doing better and better every day, so that’s really good to hear. We have the link for the Road 2 Recovery Fund where they’re taking donations to help with Scotty’s hospital bills and everything. We’ll keep you posted when we know more.

“Road 2 Recovery Fund Link
https://road2recovery.com/cause-view/scotty-cranmer/

On October 12th, 2016 Scotty, Ronny, and I(Big Boy) arrived in Las Vegas for the monster cup. It was a free day and we only had a couple more hours of daylight so we decided to go film a video for the channel. The session was going amazing until the accident. Scotty suffered from a fluke crash that no one could have prepared for and ended up needing to be rushed to the hospital. Ronny and I stayed the night with him until his wife and father arrived the next day. The first day we arrived at the hospital he was in rough shape, the second day he was making improvements but still having some major issues, and by the third day he is acting more like himself and is making amazing progress. The road 2 recovery is fundraising money for Scotty to cover a majority of his expenses so that he can get the best treatment possible. Please everyone have Scotty in your thoughts and with all of your positive vibes he will pull through. Regarding the channel Scotty’s wife has asked if I would continue it while he is hurt. I am going to 100% going to keep it going because I know nothing would make him happier because he loves all of you that follow our channel like a family. I will try to get as many videos out but they might not be daily and I am flying back to New Jersey tomorrow so there will be a little break until I get back and get everything all sorted. This channel means the world to Scotty and we are going to keep it going for him and I ask you guys to stick with us through this tough time and continue to support the crew and we will be able to accomplish anything.” – BIGBOY

Louis Trieb – Progression

October 15, 2016

Always cool to see some of these young guns progress over the years. It looks like Louis Trieb has upgraded to a bigger bike (he started out on 16″ when he was 5!) and has been getting more and more bike control. Here’s his latest video from skatepark, trails and street sessions that he has been getting in lately. Louis loves himself some fast plants and it looks like he has done his first grind on a down rail. Check it out!

“It´s been a year since my last edit “Been There – Done That” dropped.
Back then I took part with the edit at the “Bangers Freestyle Film Festival 2015” hosted by the Freedom BMX Magazine.
You can watch that edit right here:
freedombmx.de/bangers-video-contest-2015/louis-trieb.html
This new edit is called “Progression” and is my “welcome to the team” edit for Schickeria BMX Shop and Mailorder.
I got massive support from Schickeria BMX since day one we met and I’m so proud been asked to join the team now!
Also I´m stocked about the fact being the youngest teamrider in the hisrory of Schickeria BMX!
At this point big thank you goes out to Schickeria BMX – schickeria-bmx.de – for for the friendship and the awesome support!!!

Comparing my old edit “Been There – Done That” with the new one possible exlplains the title “Progression”…
The clips for this new edit were filmed during the last 12 months.
Most of the time I was 12 years old, some clips were filmed right after my 13th birthday.
We were out filming all over South-Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Also there are some clips filmed during our summer vacation in Berlin.

Music:
Tikitaka – „Super Pretty“ taken from the album „Drifter”
+ Soundsnippets from the Song „Monsters“ taken from the album „To list the songs for your funeral”

Why Ride

October 14, 2016

Here’s an interesting video from Spain that is dedicated Mathias Dymarski, who BMX lost last November in the Paris terrorist attacks. The meaning behind all of this is explained below, but the video above features some amazing spots, great riding and dialed film work. Highly suggest you give this a watch!

“On November of 2015, Lucho Vidales, Xué Gil and Martin Postigo combined their passions without really knowing what would come out from it.
In the beginning, they were heading on a trip to shoot a series of BMX pictures with a medium format camera at different rare locations in between the cities of Granada and Malaga in Spain.

Then, just over a week before they were about to start their journey. On the evening of November 13th, the world was shaken once again by terrorists attacks in Paris. Amongst the victims that day at Ba-Ta-Clan was Mathias Dymarski ( BMX rider and friend of Martin) as well as his girlfriend Marie Lausch.

Several months earlier, Mathias and Martin were riding together at many of the spots they were planning to shoot at, and despite the circumstances the guys decided to continue with the shoot.

Now their project has turned into a tribute to life; too often challenges and losses are viewed as an excuse for failure or as a way to justify unproductivity and idleness. Martin’s dedication showed us, that hard times that life throws at us can lead to great outcomes, if we can focus our energy in the right way.
