Riding with Animal Bikes – 360 Virtual Reality BMX

Yesterday we caught a teaser for this one and we’ve been waiting to see it ever since! Animal Bikes is getting a jump on the whole Virtual Reality thing that’s starting to take off and this is their first crack at it! Hit play to watch the crew go to work on some spots and take in everything that’s going on by moving around either with your phone in the Youtube app or by using your mouse on the video!

The video is an interactive experience that features Edwin DeLarosa, Augie Simoncini, Andrew Castaneda, Brenden Tombow, Charles Littlejohn and Rocco Giuseppe.

You can watch this video on your desktop computer. You will need to use your mouse to move around in the 360 environment. On your mobile device, you’ll need to have the YOUTUBE app for the video to work. If you have VR goggles then you already know how to use this, and this will work with them!

Profile Racing – Cruisin’ Carolina

You know good things are going to happen when the Profile Racing crew get together for a trip! This time around they spent some time in Charlotte, North Carolina cruising a few of Zach Rogers and Phil Jones‘ local spots. It looks like the city did NOT disappoint and these guys had a really good time riding the spots the place had to offer! Check it out!

“Jeff Klugiewicz and Grant Castelluzzo flew to meet up with Zach Rogers in his hometown of Charlotte, NC for 5 days of shredding in the South. Dillon and Shane Leeper made the drive down from Richmond VA and the crew was assembled. It was surprisingly cold for the South in spring but the whole crew pushed through it and enjoyed all of the amazing spots that Charlotte and the surrounding area had to offer. A huge thanks to Zach Rogers and Pill Jones for the amazing hospitality and for the incredible spot tour of one of the fastest growing cities in the United States.” – Ride BMX

Ciao Crew – Weekender: Mannheim

The Ciao Crew coming through with a dialed new video from a trip they took at Mannheim! Based off the video, it looks like this place is filled with untapped spots! Watch as all of these guys put in some work on everything the came across!

Peep Game – Posse In The Bay

Some of the Peep Game squad made a trip from the Los Angeles area on up to the San Francisco Bay Area to film some clips. Here’s a fresh video that came from the spots they cruised and some extras for good measure. This video goes hard on the glitches, but it’s still a good watch. Check it.

Salute To The 4th Contest Flyer

As many of you know, every year we try and throw a big contest here in Minnesota at one of the skateparks. Last year we did two contests, one in the Winter and one on the 4th of July. After the contest on the 4th of July last year, myself and a few other locals and parents at the skatepark ended up forming a non-profit foundation to help repair and expand the local skatepark in Rochester, Minnesota. The Keep Pushing Forward Foundation was founded and we’ve been working toward our goal, which is a massive skatepark. Once again, we have teamed up with the Salute To The 4th event held by The Commission and the city of Rochester to throw another BMX and skate contest. Above is the flyer for the BMX contest that we’ll be throwing with proceeds from the event, plus donations all going toward the Keep Pushing Forward Foundation! We have a TON of great sponsors, so there will be a ton of prizes up for grabs!

The contest will be in a jam format with beginner, intermediate and expert classes. We will also be throwing a Subrosa Street Rail Jam as well! Practice and registration will kick off at 11 AM on July 4th at Silverlake Skatepark! We’ll be starting the Beginner classes (BMX followed by skate) at 1PM, Intermediate (BMX followed by skate) at 2PM, Expert at 4PM and the Street Rail Jam shortly after that wraps up!

Woodward East – Spot Check: Jay Dalton at Big Dirt

Here’s a quick one we spotted over on Can You Dig It featuring Jay Dalton cruising the new “Big Dirt” section at Woodward East. Although these jumps are quite as gnarly as I expected from the title, they do look pretty fun. Take a peek!

“Take the GoPro tour of Woodward PA’s completely revamped “Big Dirt” area. While the trails were only moved about 100 yards, the new layout designed by the Dirtsculpt crew is completely new and winds down the hill and through the trees in a collection of high speed berms and fun booters.
