Odyssey & G-Sport – Limited Edition Cyan Colorway
It seems like a lot of brands are celebrating some serious milestones this year! G-Sport is celebrating their 25th anniversary, and to celebrate they’ve released these limited edition Cyan colored rims and complete Elite wheels! Not only that, but Odyssey have even released their Boss V2 and Dugan V2 stems, and Fang sprocket in the same matching Cyan to really help you get a good accent color working on your bike. Not sure if you could pull the Cyan color off on your bike? Get an idea of what it might look like with the BMX Color App.
Everything you see here is available through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Odyssey and G-Sport now!
“You learn a lot in your first 25 years of life. But when you’ve spent 25 years doing one particular thing you can get damn good at it. From the very beginning, G-Sport was focused on one thing, making bike parts that could hold up to everything that you could throw at them. Born in an age of next to useless bikes that rattled, bent and cracked under the most gentle riding, G-Sport offered a way to finally be able to forget about the bike and concentrate on the riding. Over the years we have had our imitators but they have only ever been weak copies.
Wheels have always been the heart of any bike, they make or break how it rides, so for our 25 year anniversary we are pushing the boat out with these limited edition Cyan rims and completes wheels that showcase legendary strength, unmatched smoothness and reliability. The Cyan color works as a nod to blueprints from back in the day, in addition to being an important part of our packaging and branding over the years.
Thank you all for your continued support!” – George French
GSport – High Pressure Rim Strips
You probably don’t put much thought into your rim strips, but GSport have some new ones for you…
Over the years we have seen a lot of interesting things used for rim strips from old tubes to duct tape and even cardboard. Generally when you think of a rim strip, you think of a thin piece of rubber with a hole for your spoke or some heavier duty tape. That works and that’s fine, but if you’re looking for something a little nicer, GSport have released their new High Pressure Rim Strips that was made as a high quality option for your wheels. You can pick up a set of two for $4.99 through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry GSport worldwide now.
“When you can’t even see a part, you might forget about it, but it doesn’t mean it’s not important.
Flat tires are probably the most common bicycle failures. Many times, flats are caused by the rims, specifically the lack of protection from the rims sharp edges. Good rim strips didn’t exist for BMX rims.
Our new high pressure rim strips work well and improve the function of any 20 inch rim. If you forget about them, that means they are doing their job.
Hit up your local bike shop, favorite mail order, or our online store to get a pair.” – GSport
Ride Further Tour: Munich
The Ride Further tour is back!
Here’s a BMX contest that we haven’t seen in a while! The Further crew have started their Ride Further Tour back up and kicked things off in Munich, Germany! Check out highlights from this packed day with a ton of amazing riding and good times. The weather might not have been perfect, but it still looks like it was an awesome event. Check it!
“It’s been a long time since the last
Ride Further Tour, so when we had the idea of doing an event at the brand-new Lohhof skatepark, we thought about doing something special by going back to what we all enjoy: BMX in its variety of different riding styles!
Because of the rain we had to change our plans from an overall skatepark contest where street, park and bowl would be combined to sessions at certain dry parts of the park. But that way AMs got to ride with the Pros which got a lot of the locals stoked.
Our MC Max Henning was handing out Cash 4 Tricks at each session but we also crowned the best lines, hardest trick and overall/ rider’s rider.
Emma Silva got a special award, but check out the video why.
Even with all the rain it was a fun and good weekend for BMX and at least nobody got sunburned! 😉
