A while back, we caught news that Source BMX Shop was looking at the Victorian baths as a possible location for their new shop and a one of a kid skatepark in the U.K. Well, a lot has happened since then! They got all the approvals, secured the funding and have been going to work non-stop to get the place up and running. They have announced that the grand opening will be February 13th, 2016 and we’re sure it’s going to be one hell of a celebration! Source BMX have released a number of preview photos and all the information over on their website for you to get a look at it — SOURCE PARK GRAND OPENING INFORMATION. Odyssey 30 Year Jam Highlights
Last weekend Odyssey threw a jam to celebrate 30 years and premiere their new “30.15” video (which will be online shortly… Ran into some technical issues). They invited everyone out for a session and some good times and as expected… Some damn good riding went down! Check out this highlight reel that Ride dropped from the day.
“Odyssey opened up the doors to their private ramp facility to celebrate 30 years of innovation and kicking ass… Tons of heads were present, including the entire Odyssey team, pizza was ate, tricks were stomped, and the premiere of Odyssey’s most recent video, 3015 was premiered. And, to cap off one hell of a day, everyone got to witness Matt Nordstrom get the bump up to both the Odyssey and the Fit pro team.” – Ride BMX

Sneak Peek: GT Bicycles – 4-Piece Bars

Last year, GT Bicycles announced that they were working on a re-vamped version of their original 4-piece bars, with more modern geometry. Although they’re still in the prototype stage, it appears they’re getting closer to release. They just dropped a post on Instagram giving us all the specs – 9″ and 8.6″ rise, 29″ width, 9-degrees of backsweep, 5-degrees of upsweep and color options of black, chrome and raw, with “Fingers crossed all goes smooth with this round of testing and I can give these the green light!”… Which leads us to believe these should be hitting production real soon. We’ll keep you posted when we hear more!
Product: Cult – Blankets

Cult have always had a little different approach to products and marketing. Today, they released what we’re pretty sure would be a first in the BMX world… Blankets. They have released two blankets with photos by Adam Roye printed on them from what appears to be their Eyeland team trip to Hawaii, one of Chase Hawk and one from the view on the beach. The blankets measure in at 50″ x 60″ and are 100% polyester, making for a soft plush fleece blanket for the chilly nights. The blankets are very limited, so if you want to get one, they’re going for $49.99 direct from the CULT WEBSTORE.

Austin/Central TX has a long and rich history of BMX. When presented with their positive attitudes and 100% commitment to shredding any and all forms of terrain, the decision to facilitate a full-length DVD documentation of the next generation’s adventures was a no-brainer for us. These young guns are the embodiment of what we think is best about BMX: searching for dope spots, putting tires, pegs, and pedals on obstacles in creative and fun ways, and most importantly, doing it all with a smile on your face with your crew. Shouts to Cabbage Crew, Gnarnia BMX, and Jeremie Infelise for making it all happen!”
