Sneak Peek: Fly Bikes – 24mm Dolmen Cranks

October 9, 2015

fly-bikes-dolmen-bmx-cranks-24mm

Fly Bikes have just released a preview of their new 24mm Dolmen cranks that will be hitting BMX shops and mail-orders in just a few weeks. It looks like they have beefed the cranks up a bit in size with a 24mm spindle and a pedal boss gusset that will keep you from the dreaded ankle bite. More details below.

“With our 2016 line dropping at the end of this month, we’re very excited to give you guys a look at our updated Dolmen cranks. For this year we’ve made a few changes to improve the overall strength of the cranks while giving them a cleaner look. We have bumped the spindle size up from 22mm to 24mm and added a new pedal boss gusset that is more ankle friendly. The Dolmen 24 cranks will be available in black, stainless and our new gold color.

We hope you are excited to see our full range of 2016 complete bikes, frames and parts that will be available through Flybikes dealers worldwide in just a few weeks at the end of October!”

Alex Raban’s Time Mixtape

October 9, 2015

You know you’re in for something good when Alex Raban drops a new video! Here’s a mix he put together filled with a real interesting intro then some heavy action from the streets from Alex and crew. Get on that play button and take it all in!

“Alex Raban’s Time Mixtape features Conor Caron, Blake McCray, Chet Weidner, Dylan Deaser, Jason Shoolery, Kyle Walker, and Alex himself. Anyone familiar with Volume’s Alex Raban and his impact on the scene in California’s Central Coast knows how he’s been a central cog to many of the video projects from the area, including the early ‘Roll Wit Us’ and Santa Barbarians ‘Quest For The Holy Rail’ DVD’s, and various web projects in recent years. What does a guy like Alex do when he breaks a couple of ribs? He spends more time on the other side of the camera, motivating his housemates and local friends to finish up his latest project the Time Mixtape. Get out there and make the most of things, because as Benjamin Franklin once said “Lost time is never found again”

Albe’s X Baco 2015 Bonfire / Rail Jam

October 9, 2015

If you haven’t caught on by now that the Baco Jam last weekend was fueled by fire, booze and bad decisions, then you probably weren’t paying very close attention. After the contest at the skatepark ended for the day, everyone headed back to the Albe’s villa for a fire. Zack Gerber decided to heat the fire up and put on his own jam with the Subrosa Street Rail OVER A FIRE. Check out what went down… I wonder who won the $50.

“Zack Gerber became the master of ceremonies at the Albe’s BMX bonfire on Saturday night at the BACO Jam in Warrens, Wi. A rail jam broke out and only one X-Games gold medalist was set on fire.* Not sure if the video or the audio is more entertaining.
