Justin Wilgus, a geophysicist and amateur BMX rider, narrates his journey from addiction and homelessness to sobriety and post-secondary education. Though his transformation is extreme, Justin’s story reflects a common experience for BMX riders – reigniting a sense of self when all else feels lost.

Matthias Dandois On Ice
With the colder temps starting to lift here in the northern hemisphere, seeing a frozen lake is not something you really want to look at. But, Matthias Dandois managed to get our attention with this short but very sweet video of him laying down some dialed flatland riding on a frozen lake. Not only is flatland incredibly difficult, we cannot imagine what it took to ride on ice! Take a look!
““Cold Was The Ground” is a project we filmed in the north of Sweden, on the Haven Islands, in the middle of winter, with temperatures far below zero.
I wanted to see if it was possible to ride BMX on a frozen lake.
In BMX, slipping is usually your worst enemy. You’re always looking for grip and control. This project was about doing the exact opposite: putting myself in a situation where sliding is constant, and learning how to deal with it.
Riding on ice is completely different. There’s no grip, everything moves, and you have to rethink your entire balance. It’s one of the hardest riding conditions I’ve ever experienced.
But what makes it even more intense, is that the lake is never still. The ice cracks, shifts, and produces deep, resonant sounds all the time. It feels like you’re riding on something alive.
To make it possible, I built special tires with screws in them to get traction on the ice. It turned an impossible surface into something I could actually ride. The only downside is when you make contact with the spikes tires it’s quite unforgiving.
This project is about adapting, experimenting, and pushing BMX into a place where it doesn’t belong. For the sake of progression, for the sake of making something beautiful.
This also marks the start of my new partnership with AlphaTauri, the premium fashion lifestyle brand founded by Red Bull. https://alphatauri.com

Flem Banks Jam 2026
The Flem Banks Jam is back after a bit of a hiatus! The crew at Strictly BMX brought the jam back and it looks like it was another awesome event with a real good turn out and no shortage of great riding and good times. Check out what went down!
“We’ve been putting on the banks jam on and off now for over 20 years, this was the first one in 4 years but from the feedback from the day it has me stoked to do it annually again.
Shoutout to everyone that came from all over the country it means a lot to this scene that riders are still down to travel far just to ride a bunch of sketchy ramps in a drain for a day.
Extra special thanks to anyone that helped in any way…
Rampfest for donating extra timber.
Adam Hough for helping with the build.
Jonny Mac for the crete work.
Jack Kelly for the extra tools.
Clint Millar, Sam Grace, Jai Lakeman and Mick bayzand for helping setup / pull down.
Orlando and the C.W.A for banging out the tunes to close out the day in style.” – Strictly BMX
Colony BMX – Tom Justice In Australia
It’s quite simple. I see Tom Justice‘s name pop up, I IMMEDIATELY click play! Here’s a new one Colony BMX dropped from Tom’s trip down to Australia a few months back where he proceeded to absolutely SHRED everything he caught a session on. You already know this is too good to pass up!
“Tom spent 10 days in Australia visiting the crew for Hard Yards and ripping through a bunch of QLD parks. It was great having Tom in town and seeing him bring his style and flow to some staple Brisbane parks.

Profile Racing At Ray’s MTB 2026
With the long winter coming to a close, some riders were fortunate enough to have an indoor park like Ray’s MTB in Cleveland to help keep the sessions going. The Profile Racing team made the trip for the Community Stoke jam and it looks like they had an absolute blast. Here’s a look at what the crew got into!
“The Profile Crew converged on Ray’s MTB this winter for the Radshare/Circuit Bmx Community Stoke Day.
In between the day’s events, Brant Moore and Matt Coplon snuck in filming sessions with the crew.
