Skworl – “Shes Her” Intro

Check out the intro for the new Skworl DVD that’s premiering March 10th here in Minnesota. It’s stacked with some of Minnesota’s finest and is bound to a good one. Stoked about this.

“Instead of doing a normal Trailer we decided to just release the intro the “shes Her” to give people a hint of what the video is going to be. Riders Include Eric Holley, Mark Schlegel, Mike Gelle, Cole Nelson, Mike Olsen, Trevor Thompson, Boden Berg, Lee Mies, Nick Anderson and More. Most of the filming for “shes Her” was filmed in and around Minneapolis but there is footage from Fargo, St. Cloud, Owatonna, and Milwaukee.” – Mike Gelle

Oil City Session

Justin Koebele put this video together from the “worst skatepark on the entre east coast”, Oil City. Check out Grant Germain, Chris Zeppieri, Kevin Valot, Trevor Holotka and himself getting some time in at the park. Based on how good the riding in this, I don’t think the park is as bad as he makes it seem, haha. Awesome.

Groove Merchants- Ten Years and Going Strong!

The Groove Merchants shop recently moved into a 10,000 square foot facility where they expanded and opened up a skatepark. Check out this video Mark Peacemaker sent through from some of the riding that’s been going down in the new spot this winter. Looks like a fun setup to pass the cold days, that’s for sure.

There’s no denying that one of the biggest things pushing the growth of BMX is the exposure of it online through web videos. Years ago, it was pretty difficult to produce an edit. Filming on tapes, capturing each clip, editing and then finding a hosting site to upload the video to was always a bitch. Who remembers having to actually download the video to your computer before you could watch it?
Over time, technology has progressed amazing with cameras and computers which has made it a whole lot easier for people to film, edit and distribute their videos for everyone to see. One brand in particular, GoPro has been simplifying things and making it affordable for everyone to get their riding filmed and put out on the internet for everyone to see.
A few months back, GoPro released their latest version of their camera, the Hero 3, which produces some high definition footage at frame rates that can look like it was filmed on a high end camera if done right.
Cody York recently got his hands on one of the new Hero 3’s and decided to put together a quick write up of why he’s stoked on the camera. Check out a few more photos and words along with a few videos that give you a look at the quality!
