It might be hard to pronounce his name, but it’s easy to watch him ride. Check out Gunnlaugur Steinar Halldórsson taking advantage of the end of summer and winter in Iceland by hitting up a bunch of real good spots in this new edit. Definitely worth a look.
Maciej “Sobek” Sobkowiak in Barcelona
I’m pretty sure most of us are just wishing we could spend 7 days in Barcelona right about now. Maciej “Sobek” Sobkowiak recently made his way there from Poland to check out the spots and hang out. Check out this video from his trip. Real good! I’m jealous.
“7 days in Barcelona, 5 days of chilling and riding, December, beautiful weather, cool people, camera and bike. Could be better? It’s all I can say about making this edit. Huge thanks to people whithout whom it was impossible to make this video : Maciek Otrębski, Alex Kuczyński, Piotrek Gaczek, Michał Stefański and Wojtek Kozłowski. I couldn’t skip my sponsors UNHUMAN and CAP HEAVEN. Big up to Filip Nowak for supporting me.
ENJOY AND WATCH IN IN HD!”

Through The Lens – WYDK #4 – Mike Hinkens

There has always been something intriguing to me about getting some behind the scenes details on a photo. I don’t know what it is about it but I just get stoked on seeing exactly how someone shot a specific photo and get a little insight into the process. I suppose it has something to do with the fact that every photographer shoots a little differently, which in turn makes each story unique in its own way. I can remember studying photos in magazines and borderline obsessing about the way that they were shot and honestly over the years not much has changed. I still find myself getting lost in photos to this day with the same level of curiosity that I had when I first started shooting. With that said, enjoy round four of WYDK.

Red Bull – Ramparanoia 2012
“16 dudes… One Oxygen mask… Somebody is passing out.”… All right, I’m not even sure how to explain this one. Red Bull dragged guys like Ben Hennon, Gary Young, Aaron Ross, Daniel Dhers and Ruben Alcantara out into the desert of Argentina to ride one of the wildest naturally made spots in the world. They had each rider being the judge of the contest and based on this video, they were able to get some riding time in without dying. Check this out.
“Ben Hennon won Red Bull Ramparanoia, the BMX competition held in the Campo de Piedra Pomez (Pumice field), located in Catamarca, Argentina, 4000 meters above sea level. The riders were forced to adapt to the demanding elevation and heat, trying to ride a bike on a surface that had never been explored by a BMX athlete before.” – Red Bull
