It’s that time of the year again when I start getting the urge to get everyone off their ass and to meet up somewhere for a jam. I’m throwing a contest / jam at the new Bluff Valley Skatepark on Saturday, January 29th. I’ve got a lot of support from a lot of brands so there will be plenty of prizes and goodies getting tossed out (Cash prizes for expert class of the contest). So if you’re free and in the area make your way down to the park for a good time! Check out the full flyer with the current list of sponsors with more to be added I’m sure.

Maxime Bimar Interview
Photo: Gilbert
Well, 2010 is over and 2011 is already underway. Starting the year off right with a fresh new interview for you. A week or so ago I was talking to Mark Noble about what has been going on with Deluxe these days and he mentioned that he was working on a new frame with Max. I’ll admit that I don’t know a lot about the scene in France, so I figured that it was a perfect excuse to ask Max some questions and find out more about him. It turns out Max had quite a bit to say and I did my best to clean up his english a little bit. Check out what he had to say, along with some real good photos and a few edits. We’re off to a good start for 2011…

Photo Gallery: 2010
BMX is awesome for the simple fact that it has done so much for my life. The last few years have given me a chance to experience so many things that I never thought I’d get to do growing up. The people I’ve met, the places I’ve been, the events I’ve experienced, and the lifestyle I’ve got to be apart of has definitely formed the person I am today. 2010 is only a few days away from being over, and another year that will be able to top this year will be starting. In the past 12 months, I’ve been snapping photos to remind me of all the fun and good times I’ve had along the way. I’ve selected something like 85 photos from a few thousand, and then linked to the rest of the photos from each trip between here, DIG, and my facebook albums with party photos. The photos go with about 5000 words to explain a little bit about each photo. Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments…

Mike King Interview
Photos: Ross Penny and Sam King
Mike King is one of those guys who has talent in front and behind a camera. This past year he has caught my attention time and time again with his edits and riding. I highly doubt you haven’t seen one of his edits if you keep up with the daily videos that pop up. I figured after the edit that dropped the other day that it was time for me to get ahold of Mike and ask him a few questions. Check out what Mike has to say, some photos and a bunch of his edits. Don’t forget to leave some love in the comments too!

Photos of the Day: Elstran / Anderson
Last night we had the Anthem II premiere here in Minnesota. The turn out was pretty decent due to the reschedule and what not. I was psyched to see a bunch of people I haven’t seen in probably a year or so which was even better. I ended up shooting a few sketchy photos and felt like posting up two of Erik Elstran and Landon Anderson. Take a peek after the jump.

On the Horizon: The Take
The other day it was announced the Jeff DuPaul would be taking over the role of Team Manager for The Take. For those of you firmiliar with either of those names, you would realize they make a pretty good team. I’ve known Jeff for quite a while and I feel like the brand will be making some real big changes with his presence. We decided it would be a good time for an On the Horizon to talk about some of these big changes. So, let’s see what’s going on with The Take…
