Alex is one of those unbelievably talented young riders that has been blowing up over the course of the last two or so years. Alex is constantly getting better, and after getting over a recent injury, he has been back on it and better than ever. I figured with him filming for his Colony part, having his own signature frame and complete bike, and just an endless amount of energy and good coming from the kid, that it was time to shoot him some questions. Recently, ESPN contributing photographer Tommy Blanco met up with Daniel to film some riding, and in between getting clips, Daniel ran through the finer points of his bike. And by the way, how many people in BMX can have the nickname “Lil” before we start confusing everyone? I think there are two “Lil” riders on the Volume team alone.” – ESPN

Menomonie Jam 2011 Edit

Here’s some footage from the 5th annual Menomonie Jam that went down yesterday in Menomonie, Wisconsin. The weather was a little chilly, windy and cloudy, but the rain didn’t fall. There was a pretty solid turn out of about 20 or so people which was rad since I didn’t expect as many people to turn out with the weather. I decided to pull the camera out for a bit to film some of the fun that was happening. Here’s some fresh footage from Erik Elstran, Conrad Heppner, Spencer Sullivan and more.
Make sure you hit that button on the bottom and turn it on to 720P HD otherwise it looks way worse than it should. The file was too big for Vimeo.

Shout out to the North of Ten crew for getting people together for the day. It was a real good time!
