Profile Racing Neighborhood Crawl – Tampa

March 13, 2020

Profile Racing‘s Neighborhood Crawl series continues! This time around we get a mix of park, street and backyard ramp footage from the Profile squad out cruising in Tampa, Florida! This video has a super good mix of riding and styles, along with plenty of great spots. Hit play and take this all in!

“In January of 2020, I brought part of our crew back down to Tampa for the third Profile Neighborhood Crawl. Over the past year, my hometown has seen a DIY renaissance with a cache of freshly built backyard set-ups and do-it-yourself street spots, all within the backdrop of our communities having stepped up to advocate for a plethora of new public skateparks. This muli-media feature is a celebration of where Tampa Bay has come from, it’s roots in both punk and bmx, and to what it has become.” – Matt Coplon

“Filmed by our whole crew as well as Jona Jachan.

Riding by Cory Foust, Chris Childs, Bobby Proctor, Lucas Porzio, Alex Tate, Dylan Kakowski, Mark Mulville, and Chad Degroot.

Edited by Matt Coplon.
Song: Rocinante by Floor

Thanks from Matt to Profile Racing, Brian Schaefer and Edwin Velez (Skatepark of Tampa), Alan and Beth Shirley, Alex and Shannon Lepak, Jona Jachan, Zach Ozment, James Covington, and Will
Smyth/Dig Bmx.

And special thanks to these folks for archival information on the Tampa DIY Punk Scene: Henry

BMX Streets Pipe – Garage Mod (Full Bike Customization)

March 13, 2020

Here’s one for the people out there who have been playing the BMX Streets Pipe game on PC. The Old Potato just posted up this video of him trying out the Garage Mod that lets you do a full bike customization similar to the BMX Color App, except with way more options (damn we need to do some updating) to choose from. In the video, he goes through and shows everything from colors to different parts and styles all the way to seat height and bar angle. After he ends up with a bike that looks pretty close to his own personal bike, he proceeds to give the bike a test out on the map. With how popular the BMX Color App is, we can only imagine how many people will be loving this. Check it out!

Anthony Perrin – The One That Got Away

March 12, 2020

Anyone who has rode BMX knows how much not getting a trick or not being able to do what you want on your bike will get to you. It will leave you thinking about what went wrong, how you can get back to it and what it’ll take to get it done. Seven years ago Anthony Perrin battled it out with a stair set and it didn’t work out as planned. Unfortunately the abuse he took from the slams kept him from getting what he wanted to do done. Here’s the story of how it all went down.

Unfortunately, after watching this all the way through, this isn’t a video of him going back and getting it done like we originally thought, which is a bummer since that’s what would have made this video great. But, it is what it is!

“Back in 2013 we took a young Anthony Perrin to Budapest, Hungary for our original DIG ‘Youth Of Today’ Issue and video, and while we were there he did battle with an absolute beast of a stairset. Hit play for the full story from Anto himself…
