Cinema BMX – Sync Chain

July 23, 2019

Cinema BMX Sync Chain

Is it time for a new BMX chain? Here’s a look at the new Sync Chain from Cinema BMX. This half-link style BMX chain features curved side plates to reduce the risk of links catching on grins, forged pins for increased strength, a Debossed Cinema logo on each link and a Teflon coating to keep the friction and wear down. The chain comes with a pre-installed connector pin to help make getting this chain on your bike easier. Since this is a half link chain, it will allow you to dial your back end in and can be used with 8-tooth drivers if you happen to go that small. It also comes with 85 links, so you’ll have extra for backup.

You can pick the Sync Chain up for $25.99 in Black, Polished, Gold and Raw colors through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Cinema BMX worldwide now, or direct from the Cinema Webstore now!

Mongoose Heritage Series: Nikita Ducarroz

July 23, 2019

You have probably seen Nikita Ducarroz riding over the past few years, but you probably didn’t know that she’s half Swiss and spent a lot of time in Switzerland growing up. Here’s a video Mongoose dropped giving some insight into Nikita, along with some great riding from a bunch of different parks! Hit play and take this all in. It’s a real good watch!

“Swiss-American rider Nikita Ducarroz has long been a familiar face on top of the podium at the World’s biggest BMX contests.
She’s also no stranger to the challenges faced by every pro rider; whether it’s filming videos, attending press events, constant travel or simply holding it down as a role model to younger riders, Nikita has always gone above and beyond.
The Mongoose ‘Heritage’ series is an intimate look behind the scenes into what makes our riders tick, the story of how they got here and insight into their lives off the bike.
We caught Nikita for a few days in Switzerland in between two European contests and couldn’t be more proud of her to debut our new series, produced by Human Creative / @HMNcreative

Women & X Games – Live with Nina Buitrago

July 23, 2019

As many of you may have heard, the X Games wasn’t willing or able to do a Women’s BMX class. Over the past 5 or so years, the Women were able to get sessions on the course or do demos, but they’ve never been given their own actual contest. This year Nina Buitrago and the other ladies decided enough is enough and they weren’t willing to pay their way just to do another demo. The girls have decided to boycott the X Games this year to make their voice heard that they want their own contest. Brant Moore got on a live call with Nina to talk about everything going on, that helps explain how it all got to this point and where she hopes to see things go!

“Nina is an absolute legend in BMX who has shredded for years and earned the respect of the vast majority of BMX.
Recently she brought attention to the fact that Women’s freestyle BMX will be in the Olympics before it will have an official medalled event in X Games. With that, we had an opportunity to talk about her history with X Games as well as the history of women’s BMX with Xgames and her feelings about the whole situation and what it has become within BMX.

Rather than asking the exact same questions that have been beaten into the ground, we dug deeper and responded to a few of the different points brought up by some in hopes that considering both sides of the situation might help the conversation.

Check out @thebloombmx as well as @nina_burrito on instagram for more about women’s BMX and to follow Nina’s BMX journey!” – Brant Moore
