For the past few years, Madera‘s Protocol HT cranks have been available in one color to help keep the costs down; matte black. These cranks are very similar to Profile Racing cranks, minus a few minor details to help keep the production costs down and the overall price of the cranks down, while offering a more affordable price at the shop for you. It looks like Madera, who are celebrating 10 years in business, are starting to make a few more color options for those of you who want something a little more flashy. A few weeks ago we got a look at the Celestial colorway they added to the options, and now today we get a look at the chrome option! So, for about $157.99 you can get the Chrome Protocol HT cranks — with a heat-treated chromoly spindle — now through BMX shops, mail-orders or direct from the Madera Webstore!

The Protocol HT BMX cranks from Madera are made right here in the U.S.A by Profile Racing with fully heat-treated chromoly tubular arms and a heat-treated chromoly 19mm, 48-spline Gun Drilled Hollow spindle with flush spindle bolts. These arms are right and left side drive compatible, come in colors of matte black, Celestial and chrome with a weight of 28.5 oz
