Wow… Sitting here at 11 PM on Sunday wondering where the hell this week went! Another blur stacked up with some damn good edits. This week I’ve picked out 15 of the best edits from the Daily Section that are MUST SEE’s or worth a second look for sure. I’ll save your time since there’s a lot of riding to get to so let’s do this!

Jeff Wescott has been on the move this past year. Bouncing back and forth between the U.K (sometimes faster than he would like) and U.S along with spending plenty of time in front of and behind the lens. It seems like there has always been something coming from the guy at least every other week lately. A few weeks back he announced that he had decided to step away from the Amity team so I figured it was a good time to get ahold of him to find out what that was all about and what else he has been up to lately. Let’s check out what he had to say!

Video Recap: 10/1 – 10/7
This past week was definitely one of those weeks where there were so many dialed videos that ended up in the Daily Section that it was easy to forget about some of them. Going through all the posts, we some how ended up with that magic number of 13 videos. I don’t know why each week it ends up around that number. I don’t cap it at that, it just happens. Strange. Let’s take a look at what I pulled out for you to check out incase you missed some of want to re-watch them.

Sony Big Air Triples Info
“LOS ANGELES, Calif. (September 6, 2012) – ASA Entertainment today announced the Sony Big Air Triples –
a collaboration with Sony Electronics to bring their new point-of-view video camera – the Action Cam – along with
a brand new skateboarding and BMX experience, to the famed Venice Beach boardwalk on Saturday, Sept. 22.
Sony Big Air Triples will feature 18 of the world’s best BMX and skateboarding pros in a unique head-to-head
bracket-style competition that showcases versatility and innovation on a one-of-a-kind 195-foot-long Big Air Triples
course. The Triples format combines the best of dirt, park, vert and box jump skills while challenging the athletes
to show off their best three back-to-back tricks on a course that includes a 26’ high roll-in ramp, two 25’ wide jumps
and a course-ending 14’ high quarter pipe. The head-to-head format of the competition makes the contest easy to
follow, creates fan engagement and increases the level of excitement.
Participating BMX pros include recent Dew Tour winner Zack Warden as well as a host of additional stars like
Morgan Wade, Ryan Guettler, Austin Coleman, Pat Casey, Vince Byron, James Foster, Colton Satterfield, TJ Ellis,
Daniel Sandoval, Andy Buckworth and Anthony Napolitan. Skateboarding participants include top pros like Andy
Macdonald, Jake Brown, Adam Taylor, Jagger Eaton, Jett Eaton and more.
The event was developed to highlight these amazing pros in conjunction with Sony’s revolutionary new Action
Cam. Recently announced, Sony’s industry-leading image quality will now be found in an ultra-compact, wearable
camera for action sports filming in premium full HD 1080p. Weighing in at approximately three ounces, with
battery and built-in Wi-Fi®, the new Action Cam (HDR-AS15) is the perfect shooting solution for tricks on the
ramp and anywhere else the action happens. The POV cam offers five video modes to capture all the glory, with
a class-exclusive 4x slow mode in 720p HD; advanced image stabilization; an ultra-wide angle lens with a 170-
degree wide field view; Interval Still Recording mode for photo capture; and many more features. It will ship with
adhesive mounts and a ruggedized waterproof case featuring a universal tripod mount, built to handle extreme
environments – waterproof down to 197 feet with shock resistance, plus dirt and dust resistant seals.
“We are thrilled about bringing the Big Air Triples to Venice Beach to help launch the Sony Action Cam,” said Rick
Bratman, CEO, ASA Entertainment. “I can’t think of a better way to announce this exciting new camera than by
watching the world’s top skate and BMX pros perform mind-boggling tricks on this massive ramp structure in the
heart of Venice Beach — the birthplace of action sports.”
“The Big Air Triples course is one of my favorite ramps to ride,” said 22-time X Games medalist Andy Macdonald.
“It’s going to be awesome having that massive ramp set up right on the beach in Venice where everyone can
experience this new style of riding.”
ASA Entertainment will produce a one-hour television show about the Sony Big Air Triples that will premiere on
Fox Sports Net on Friday, Nov.23 at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. The participating pros will serve as narrators of the docu-
drama style show, telling the behind the scenes stories of the event in their own words, and providing viewers
unique insight into their personalities and access to their tricks through the Sony Action Cam.
The event is free to attend and kicks off at 1 p.m. at the corner of Ocean Front Walk and Windward Ave. next to
the basketball courts on the historic Venice Beach boardwalk. In addition to the world-class competition, fans will
be able to get autographs and experience the Sony Action Cam Extreme Zone. In the Extreme Zone, attendees
will be some of the first consumers to demo the just-released Sony Action Cam. A select group will even have
the unique opportunity to get hands-on experience with the camera in a Vertical Wind Tunnel skydiving simulator.
Also, attendees will be able to take the Action Cam for a test drive and sign up for access to the Sony VIP
observation platform.
“No other mountable point-of-view camera combines such advanced image stabilization and optics with a rugged
exterior and convenient Wi-Fi connectivity,” said Hidenori Toyoda, director of the camcorder business at Sony
Electronics. “And thanks to ASA, we have the perfect platform for these skilled athletes to show what this tiny but
powerful Sony Action Cam is capable of.”

Photos: Ryan Scott
I think the first time I came across Ryan Scott was on Twitter. I don’t remember why or how, but yeah. Over the course of time, we ended up going back and forth quite a bit. The other day, Ryan sent through some of his latest work for us to check out to do a possible photogallery. I already knew Ryan shot damn good photos and I decided it would be best if we could get an interview out of him to go with the photogallery so you can really get a feel of who is behind the lens on this one. I’m really stoked on how this came out and I think after you check out the interview and see the gallery, you will be stoked too! Check it!

Jack Birtles on United
Our friend, Jack Birtles not only kills it behind the lens but he’s also a dialed rider. That’s why he was recently added to the United Australia team through Stowaway and Ride On. I hope this means there will be a welcome edit popping up soon.
