ACT Jam 2018

April 24, 2018

Get a look at what went down at the annual ACT Jam down in Australia!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JumSvRmsM50

The footage from this years ACT Jam down in Australia is starting to roll in. This annual even put on by the guys at Back Bone BMX is 3 days of amazing riding and good times at different parks and trails. This video that Murli Dhir put together is filled with 10 minutes of footage from the Pros to the locals, along with a good look at just how many people turn out to this event during the first two days of parks. So good. Hit play and enjoy, and expect to see plenty more from this one soon!

“This was the first ever ACT Jam I’ve been to. I decided to make a video because I figured this is one of the biggest things in Australian BMX. I’ve never made something like this but I’m pretty stoked on all of it. The weekend was incredible and I don’t think the video does it justice. I missed out on someone doing a 900 air (I think it was a guy called Mini) but yeah that happened. I also didn’t get to film the Dirt jumps on the last day but this is what I managed to produce.

Check out riding from a bunch of bloody good riders including: Cody Pollard, Dylan Lewis, Jason Watts, JIMMY, Chris James, Alex Hiam, Chris Harti, Jacman Hinss, Jake Wallwork, Boyd Hilder, Jayden Fong, Denby Chandler, Zachary Hutera, CHOWGY, Josh Dove, Tyrone Edwards, Chris Nicol & many more.

To the guy who attempted to flip bar/tbog Weston’s spine multiple times, you are honestly insane. To send that trick again and again after huge slams, you are incredible man.

Thanks to:
Backbone BMX for the whole weekend, Jack Spooner for driving and being an all round maddog, Dom for helping us with locks and telling us where some showers were and all the people there for making it one of the best weekends of my life.

Back Bone BMX – Jason Watts Welcome Video

January 9, 2018

Check out Jason Watts’ official welcome to the Back Bone BMX team!

Jason Watts might be no longer riding for Haro, but it looks like he is now doing it for Back Bone BMX down in Australia. We’re not quite sure who he will be riding for as far as a bike sponsor goes in 2018… Yet (we could see Subrosa or S&M)… But, it’s safe to say the Back Bone BMX guys will be keeping his bike nice and dialed so he can absolutely SLAY everything he touches from trails to ramps and street spots. This new video is packed with amazing riding from seat stand nose manuals to decades, flairs, cranked turndowns, huge inverts and much, much more. You can’t really predict Jason’s riding, so it keeps things real interesting from start to finish. Hit that play button!

“We’re beyond stoked to have Jason on the team, his love for good times and participating in building the BMX scene gets us stoked just as much as how bloody good he is on a bike. Also thanks a million to the legend James Fox for making this happen, without our knowledge he and Jase organised this whole thing and we are frothing!

Pull back or die!’” – Tyson Jones-Peni

“I’m always looking for an excuse to Road trip with the homies!! So what better excuse than to create this video to welcome Jason to the Backbone family!! Original concept was to film a video in 3 days in Canberra and then some how we just kept traveling up north!! Thanks for the good times!!!

Have Fun, Die Trying…” – James Fox

Did You Know Santa Claus Rides BMX?

November 16, 2017

It looks like all the laps that Santa Claus has been getting in during the offseason has paid off!

Did you know Santa Claus rides BMX? Well, it looks like he’s been taking it pretty serious this past year because he’s really cut the pounds off big time! The Back Bone BMX crew caught up with Santa during one of his last sessions down in Australia before he had to head back up to the North Pole to get ready for the Holidays. Check out what he cooked up for clips as he flowed through the lines! It’s safe to say he can shred more than a sleigh with reindeer.

Also, just incase you didn’t know… Santa Claus also rides ramps, too!

“BMX is too fun, even Santa is in on the action this Christmas. For BMX gift ideas head to:

The Back Bone Video – Crash Section

September 11, 2017

The Back Bone BMX crew aren’t quite ready to end the party just yet! They have uploaded all the sections from “The Back Bone Video“, but they were still sitting on this Bonus Section that we’re sure you’ll have a hard time watching, and a hard time looking away from. The crash section is over 6 minutes of slams, spills, bumps, bruises, blood and probably a concussion or two that was filmed throughout the making of the video. Some of these are hard to watch for sure. Take a look!

“Three years of filming means some crashes. Some gnarly ones at that. If you wanted to see how hard the crew went at filming the video, this is a good indicator.
Filmed and edited by Brendan Boeck with additional footage from the crew.

“The Back Bone Video” – Credits Section

September 2, 2017

All good things must come to an end. Here’s the credits section from Back Bone BMX‘s full-length video “The Back Bone Video” that has some b-roll, a ton of laughs, a few crashes, random clips of Hucker picking up one of the most venomous snakes in the world and more.

“Now you can’t forget about the credits! This has got some of the wildest footage. From Mike ‘Hucker’ Clark’s wild snake charming antics, to some funny outtakes and crashes, this is definitely a way to reflect on the fun times we had making the video.

Thanks again to Brendan Boeck for filming and editing, as well as everyone else who helped filmed and give guidance along the way.
