A few weeks back at Interbike, we got a look at Tyler Fernengel‘s signature Paradise line that features bars, a top load stem and seat that will be available in Tripod and Pivotal versions. With the line dropping in just a few weeks at the end of October, we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look at the line and see just what it’s all about. If you’re on the hunt for a new BMX stem, bars or seat, this might just be what you’re looking for… So let’s get into this!
The Chase Hawk signature bars from Cult have been given a little revamp for the 2016 line. These 100% heat-treated, multi-butted, 4130 chromoly bars have an 8.8″ rise, 28″ width, 10-degrees of backsweep and 4-degrees of upsweep. These bars should be hitting BMX shops and mail-orders any time now, so if you’re on the hunt for some new bars and you’re digging the geometry, keep an eye out.

Here’s one we got a look at the other week at Interbike 2015! The guys at Subrosa have been working with Kevin Kalkoff on a signature colorway for the Noster III frame, Battle Fork II and Villicus bars with custom graphics. This new kit will be hitting BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Subrosa worldwide real soon, so get the full scoop below!
“Stoked to announce our latest limited edition guest color way, and this time around it’s by Subrosa Skeleton Crew rider Kevin Kalkoff! Since landing a spot on the Subrosa team, Kevin has basically been on a non stop world tour attending contests, jams, road trips, and filming for the Vans BMX video.
From France, the U.K. and Germany, to Oregon, California, Las Vegas, and now onto Japan, to Kevin it’s all good as long it’s in the names of good friends, and good spots to ride!
His color way, dubbed Satin Moto Blue, features an awesome smooth satin finish with special decals. Due to the nature of the decals and the process of applying them, we are able to have the art go around curves, and even over welds without any bubbling or peeling! They really look hand painted.
His color way is featured on the products he runs, the Noster III frame, Battle Fork II’s, and Villicus bars and will be arriving in stores around the world starting this month through mid November. Hit up you local shop or favorite mail-order now, to ensure you get one!”

Here’s one we caught a look at Interbike the other week. Mutiny Bikes have a new set of bars in the works that are, well, big. No, they’re not 10″ or even 11″ rise, but they are still big! The Ridiculously Big Bar will be available next month and is made from heat-treated, straight gauge 4130 chromoly with a 9.5″ rise, 30″ width, 1-degree of upsweep and 12-degrees of backsweep.
We’re assuming since all of the other bars from Mutiny are available in black and chrome, that will be the case for these beasts as well. Expect them to hit BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Mutiny Bikes in October.
Let’s be real.. 9.5″ rise is pretty ridiculous. Who remembers riding 6″ rise bars?

We have always seen unique colorway options available on BMX frames and parts, but it seems like lately we have seen some exceptionally unique colors that look amazing. Colony recently unveiled their 2016 line and one item in particular that really caught our eye is their new Tradition frame kit with their limited edition Firestorm colorway. This kid includes their new Tradition frame, Guardian fork, Roaster bars, Squarback top load stem, Colony Headset and adjustable headset spacer. As for sweep they have 10˚of backsweep and 4˚of upsweep to keep the hands and arms in a comfortable position. The tubing is straight gauge 4130 chromoly with a 0.65″ wall diameter on all tubes. Looking for some 4-piece bars, but you aren’t a fan of the 8+” rise and want something a little smaller? Well, The Make have just released their new G.O.A.T bars that might just be what you’re looking for! These bars are made from 11-butted 4130 post-weld heat-treated chromoly with a 7.8″ rise, 25″ width, 5-degrees of upsweep and 8-degrees of backsweep. No word on other color options, but we do know black is an option, or weight. These bars should be available through all BMX shops and mail-orders that carry The Make soon.
