nowear-bmx-cornhucket-bmx-jam-2015

The 2015 Nowear Cornhuckit Jam is going down August 8th from Noon to Midnight at the Nowear Compound in Unadilla, Nebraska! They will be unveiling their brand new handlebar sub rail that turned out absolutely amazing (and quite possibly the biggest BMX bars EVER?) and we already know the BMX contest will be one hell of a good time. They will have live music from The Killigans and plenty of vendors for food and BMX products to check out and get your hands on. If you’re free on August 8th… This is the place to be! Check out this quick teaser clip from the sub rail!

You can find out more about this contest and get full details by hitting their Facebook Events Page!

New Jeremy Pavia Portfolio Website

July 1, 2015

jeremy-pavia-photo-website-bmx

Our good friend Jeremy Pavia just hit us up with some news that his new portfolio website is done and has launched. Head over to JeremyPavia.com to check out a ton of amazing photos and more!

“Well the day has finally come for the re-launch of my portfolio site. This has been an incredibly rewarding process and something that I have been wanting to do for a few years now. I have been so busy working on project after project and keeping up with a variety of clients throughout the past few years that it left little time to actually sit down and focus on any of my personal work. I made the decision to invest my energy into putting together a variety of photos that showcase some of what I do and to put out a variety of new content.

All of the images are either brand new, never before seen, or have been re-edited and re-sized to work with the new format of the site. If you have been anywhere around me for the past 6 months you have probably heard me mention working on a new website and it feels surreal to be writing this at the moment. I couldn’t feel any more relieved and ready to be able to share this with the world. One of the things that I have been excited about is the new mobile version of my site. For years I have always wanted a better way to display my images to people looking at my site on their phone and it is finally here. Of course the site is best viewed full-size on a laptop (preferably a mac display) but to be honest, I couldn’t be happier about how the images look on smart phones.

This moment marks a point in my career that I won’t soon forget and it feels incredible to be starting on this new chapter with a body of work that I can proudly stand behind. Look out for regular updates as I will be constantly shooting, working on new galleries and letting the site evolve organically. I appreciate any and all feedback and will continue to put out as much original content as I can so be sure to check back regularly. Thank you to anyone along the way that has waited patiently to see so much of this new work finally come together. Thank you to everyone reading this, and thank you to anyone who has ever said they
enjoy my work.
” – Jeremy Pavia

Texas Toast Is Toasted For 2015

June 26, 2015

TEXAS_TOASTED-01-600x600

Odyssey have just announced that Texas Toast for 2015 has ben cancelled. It’s a pretty heavy undertaking to make this event happen and from their explanation, it makes complete sense as to why they weren’t able to make it happen this year. Hopefully it comes back in 2016 because this is hands down one of the BEST BMX EVENTS ever.

If you want to re-live some of the good times, here’s our Texas Toast 2013 Photogallery.

“June 26th 2015 – After 4 incredible and positive events, we are sorry to inform everyone that this year’s TEXAS TOAST JAM has been called off.

A few variables beyond our control lead us to this decision, but the bottom line is that we simply could not gather the level of sponsorship support that is required for doing the event properly. Toast is a casual jam and might appear rough around the edges, but in reality it is a lot of work, and it also takes a lot of money to make it happen. We have to pay a legit staff of builders, buy and rent equipment, offer prize money, make sure the judges have pens and cover a million other details in order to keep this international event rolling smoothly. As Odyssey employees, we also organize and manage Toast while juggling all of our everyday work for the brand. It is fair to say that Toast has always been a labor of love for everyone involved in its creation, and because of that we are committed to always doing it properly so we can give the riders, fans and supporters the event that they’ve come to love.

We are bummed that the stars did not align for Toast this year, but there is always 2016. Our fingers are crossed.

– Odyssey Department of Toast
