No, that’s not the long awaited G-Coaster… But we did spot this sneak peek photo of G-Sport‘s Simian Cassette hub that’s due out early 2015 over on The Merged! No details just yet, but I’d imagine we’re in for a treat with this one.

No, that’s not the long awaited G-Coaster… But we did spot this sneak peek photo of G-Sport‘s Simian Cassette hub that’s due out early 2015 over on The Merged! No details just yet, but I’d imagine we’re in for a treat with this one.

Here’s a look at Profile Racing‘s latest print ad featuring Matt Coplon and their 2015 Mini hubs that have received a little upgrade for the new year. If you look closely you will see that they have added knurled press on washers to the front hubs and knurled jam nuts to help keep your wheels from slipping in the drop outs! Dialed.

We don’t see a ton of changes with the product line from Profile Racing because they’re pretty consistent on sticking with what works! But, every few months, we do get to see a new limited edition colorway from them that is always ends up real good. This time around, they have released a very limited run of these Zach Rogers inspired matte Desert Camo Mini and Elite hubs, Push stems and Spline Drive and Galaxy sprockets that are are available now! We figured with only 50 sets of hubs total and 10 of each of the stems and sprockets available, these are going to go quick so we should take a look before they’re all gone, right? Let’s check this out!

There’s no denying that the freecoaster revolution has taken place and that it has become a focus product for many brands throughout the BMX industry. In the past two years we have seen a huge influx in the number of freecoaster hubs available and because of that we have seen improvements in the overall quality of the hubs.
Personally, I’ve never ran a freecoaster in my 15 years of riding and I guess up until fairly recently I shyed away from the idea because of the horror stories I’ve heard over the years from maintenance and the expense of replacing things like bearings. Once more brands started releasing their own take on the freecoaster hub and a huge flood of videos from pretty much all of the top street riders making riding with a freecoaster look pretty amazing, my interest was peaked and I finally caved and decided to see what all of the hype was about. About two months ago, I got my hands on one of The Shadow Conspiracy‘s Raptor freecoaster wheel and started seeing how things worked going backwards. After countless sessions, a lot of frustration and excitement, I decided it was time to do a little review. Let’s do this…
Mankind dropped this new promo video for their Prometheus SDS Cassette hub along with a bunch of bonus riding clips from their team! Hit play and take it all in!
“Check out our new Mankind Prometheus SDS Cassette Hub Animation bringing you all the technical highlights of our popular cassette hub along with even more riding highlights brought to you by Kiam Hashemi, Kim Moreno, Isaac Lesser and Jeff Klugiewicz. Come in and enjoy!”

It seems like Stranger is following the “bigger is better” method for a lot of their new products lately! Head over to The Merged to find out more about their new Ballast hubs that are extra beefy!

Here’s a fresh one we spotted over on The Merged! The guys at The Daily Grind are working on a freecoaster of their own that I’d imagine will be getting some work done internally to take some serious abuse. It would appear to be working with the Ezra system, so we can expect it to be freecoaster and cassette compatible!

Here’s a better look and more detail on the new Cult Nylon guards that we got a closer look at during Interbike the other week. These guards have an 6061-T6 aluminum core with a Nylon 6 polymer sleeve that slides smooth and gives it that matte black look like a glock gun. These guards slide over the cone nuts on all of Cult’s Match front, V1 and V2 cassettes and Match V1 and V2 freecoaster hubs. Clean and simple! These will be hitting shops and mail-orders worldwide in October!
