Product: Odyssey – Trailmix Pedals

Is it time for some new pedals? Not feeling plastic pedals and want something that can take more abuse and will last you a while? Have you given the long running Trailmix pedals from Odyssey? These pedals, which are based off the classic Jim Cielencki “JC” pedal that came out back in 2003, but with a lighter body, bigger spacing and a more trails inspired shape and pin length making for great traction. The pedals are made with an aluminum body with 8 replaceable pins per side of the pedal. Inside you can find a 9/16″ chromoly spindle with the option of sealed bearings or loose-ball bearings.

The Trailmix pedals are available worldwide through BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Odyssey in colors of black and high polish and a weight of 19.5 oz per set. You can even find some of their limited edition colors like Midnight blue, Metallic silver, Fire Engine red and Ocean blue still floating around in some shops!.

Street Market – Merritt P1 Pedal Promo

Street Market just sent over their latest video featuring a promo for the Merritt P1 Pedals! The P1 pedals are made from a nylon and fiberglass blend that has a low profile design with 12 pins per side of the pedal and knurling for extra traction. The pedal is available in colors of black, red, blue and gum with a weight of 12.9 oz. per set. These pedals are available worldwide through all BMX shops and mail-orders that carry Merritt now.

Sneak Peek: Demolition Parts – July 2015 Shipment

Demolition Parts will be getting a new shipment of product in, in July and they have a bunch of new items coming through. They will have the new retro style Markit sprockets, Connor Lodes Axes seats, grey Momentum tires the and the digital camo Trooper PC pedals coming through and it’s all looking real good. Here are some BMX pedals that will make all you plastic pedal lovers scream and run and all the rest of you praying you never have to introduce your shins to them. Fatality BMX hit us up with some information on their new and improved MK2 pedal. These pedals start off with a very thin and lightweight body that is 14mm thick with minimal material and 10 replaceable metal pins per side for exceptional traction. Inside you can find two sealed bearings and a chromoly spindle that can use a spanner wrench or allen key to tighten or loosen these from your cranks. The MK2 pedal is available in Bead Blast black with a weight of 13.76 oz. (390 grams) for the pair.

Product: Premium – Slim Pedal Smoked Colors

Premium’s popular Slim Pedal got some fresh paint and is now available in 5 new “Smoked” colors. This slim platform pedal is extruded and CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with a 14mm to 17mm thickness and 8 replaceable pins per side. Inside, you can find a CNC machined chromoly spindle and sealed bearings for a solid, smooth feeling pedal. The Smoked version of the Slim Pedals come in blue, red, yellow, silver and green with a weight of 16.2 oz.

The Slim Smoked pedals are out now and available through all shops and mail-orders that carry Premium worldwide. These colors are also available on other parts in the Premium product range.

Product: Deco – Digital Camo Plastic Pedals

Deco just released their PC pedal in 4 new camouflage versions! These pedals are now available in Desert, Jungle, Army and Snow camo along with their existing colors of clear, clear black, chrome and glass fiber black. These pedals features 10 molded pins per side with knurling for extra grip, a chromoly 9/16″ spindle and unsealed bearings with a weight of 13.6 oz.

The Art of the BMX Pedal

Every now and then we get on a little nostalgia kick and start looking through Google images to find some classic parts we used to run. It gets us thinking about how much things have or haven’t changed with BMX parts and just how crazy things used to be. We recently got on a kick about BMX pedals and started trying to think of a bunch of the classics. We hit up our Facebook page for some ideas and ended up collecting a real good list. We decided to hunt down some photos and piece together this post going through a bunch of favorites with all the different shapes and styles we’ve seen over the years. Ready for this? Are your shins starting to burn? Are you having flashbacks from a time you blasted your shin and blood started running down your leg like Niagara Falls? Well… If not, you will be.
