Well this is a bummer. Mike Brennan will no longer be riding for Wethepeople in 2013.
“Starting in 2013 Mike Brennan will no longer be riding for Wethpeople. This decision didn’t come easy for us. Mike has been on Wethepeople for many years now and with the start of Merritt we believe that Mike is on his own path with his new company. Mike will always be apart of the WTP family and will continue to receive our support in many ways including distributing Merritt. We owe Mike a big thank you for supporting us all these years. Mike is an amazing BMX rider, a motivator and a roll model for the younger generation. He is a hard working father that is perusing his dream in BMX. Starting a company from the ground up is not easy; just ask the many that have tried.” – Wethepeople

In the past few years, or as he puts it, “For pretty much as long as I’ve been riding, almost ten years I guess,” Mike King has conjured up some of the web’s finest videos – there’s no doubt you’ve sat back and enjoyed his work for the likes of MacNeil (who he also rides for, on their UK team), Amity Bikes, and more recently for the Seventies UK collection of brands where he was in-house filmer for a while, out on trips, hitting contests, and filming edits at their private indoor park. Now branching out into the freelance game again, Mike is also putting some extra focus on to his own web site at FFWDBMX.com and sticking together his new portfolio video site. Says Mike, “I’m trying to put everything I can into Fast Forward, kinda tricky when you’re a one-man army and have bills to pay. I’m also working on a portfolio site and starting up another brand…” So let’s find out where Mike started – here are his FIRSTS.

We posted up a rough Instagram photo of this last night when the post about Chase DeHart being added to the Animal pro team, but now Animal posted up a clean shot of his welcome print ad and a few words. Take a peek.
“This was a long time coming, though this “official” announcement is a few days early, thanks to Instagram and this ad in the newly released DIG issue 92 spreading all over the internet. Check out Dehart’s Welcome To The Team edit HERE.* To everyone who entered the Guess Who’s New contest, winners will be announced this weekend. If you didn’t email Teague within like an hour of when that post went up though, chances are you probably didn’t win.

* That’s not a mistaken link- there isn’t any “welcome to the team” edit. But Chase does have some dope clips in there.” – Animal

It’s about damn time Animal put Chase DeHart on their pro team. I always kind of thought he was, but I guess now it’s official. This is the new print ad welcoming Chase to the team that can be found in the new issue of DIG. I’d imagine this will lead to a welcome edit. Who’s excited for that?

Glenn Salyers is a unique individual. Glenn is polite, hard working, and innovative in everything he does. He is a talented machinist and ramp builder. His handy work with ramps can be seen at “The Kitchen Skatepark.” Aside form those abilities, Glenn is also one of the most talented riders in the Midwest. His mix of styles between both technical and burly puts him at a level of talent that many have the ambition of reaching, but few riders will ever attain. The best way to describe Glenn doesn’t come from the words above though. It comes from Mark Filipowicz, Redline Team Manager. In asking Flip about one of Redline’s newest riders, his response was simple, “What can’t be said about that weirdo?”
Moving on from Glenn’s personality and abilities, his bike is what really helps define him. Continue reading to see what bike set-up allows him to “monster truck” any terrain put in front of him.

There has always been something intriguing to me about getting some behind the scenes details on a photo. I don’t know what it is about it but I just get stoked on seeing exactly how someone shot a specific photo and get a little insight into the process. I suppose it has something to do with the fact that every photographer shoots a little differently, which in turn makes each story unique in its own way. I can remember studying photos in magazines and borderline obsessing about the way that they were shot and honestly over the years not much has changed. I still find myself getting lost in photos to this day with the same level of curiosity that I had when I first started shooting. With that said, enjoy round four of WYDK.
