Sneak Peek: Federal Bikes – Response Tire

It looks like Federal Bikes will be adding some more rubber to their line for 2016. Currently, Federal Bikes do not offer a tire, but that’s about to change in March when their new Response tire hits BMX shops and mail-orders worldwide. These tires will be available in black, gum and orange (possibly more colors) with a 2.30″ size. This tire features a smooth center tread and an aggressive grooved side which looks like it will offer plenty of grab while turning on the streets. No word on if there will be other sizes available, but Federal did mention that the 2.30″ version measures in at 2.40″ on their Stance XL Rim which features a 40mm width versus the traditional 34-36mm found on most BMX rims, allowing the tire to sit wider.

Expect more details closer to their release in about 3 or so months!

Mankind Bike X Rubena Tires – Thomas Chauvez

Going into this BMX video, we figured Thomas Chauvez was just really stoked on Ruben Rampera Tires, but he actually rides for Rubena Tires, haha. Either way, check out Thomas throwing down at his local skatepark in France for Mankind and Rubena. Definitely some good style and a diverse mix of tricks, making for a good watch.

Sneak Peek: Animal Bikes – New Tire

This past year has been an interesting one for Animal Bikes. There have been a lot of rumors floating around about what has been going on with the brand, and honestly, we don’t know exactly what is going on. All we know for sure is they have been pretty quiet lately and we heard that they have new products coming. Today we caught an email from Tom Nguyen pointing out that Brendan Reith is running some new tires that Animal are working on. We took a look and sure enough there were some samples on his bike. Obviously no details as of yet, but there are signs of life, which we’re pretty excited about. Expect more details soon. We did hear the new products should be dropping in about a month, so we’ll just have to wait and see what comes from these rumors!

BSD – Interbike 2015 Preview

Where does time go? Summer has flown by and tomorrow we’ll be hopping on a plane to Las Vegas tomorrow for our 8th round of Interbike to check out all the latest BMX bikes, frames and parts from all of your favorite BMX brands. Thanks to the internet, we’ve been getting previews from a number of brands giving us a taste of what’s to come so we have a decent idea of some of the items we’ll be seeing from a number of the brands. Today we were treated to a gold mine of product that BSD will be displaying between the QBMX booth and Tip Plus suite from their new Westcoaster freecoaster, to the updated frames, new Dan Paley Soulja frame, fresh colorways, their first rim and a new addition that we have a feeling everyone will be running if you have plastic bar ends. Demolition Parts‘ popular Momentum Tire is now available in this new Grey Top with Black sidewall color. Unlike some tires that are painted to be a specific color, these are made from a grey rubber compound so the color won’t fade after wearing the tire down. The Momentum tire features a low profile rectangle pattern that has plenty of grip on all terrains with a 110 max PSI and a wire bead to keep the tire seated.
