Over the last two or so months, Mutiny Bikes have been releasing a series of videos going by the title of “Cool Story, Bro”. These videos that are being produced by the one and only Richard Forne are a unique approach to a sea of web edits that are focused less on the riding, but more on the personalities of the team riders, giving you a look into what runs through their minds.
After watching a couple of these videos, I started wondering what got this series going, what kind of time and work is actually going into making them happen and what the future of the concept holds. I knew the only way to find out more was to track down Rich and get him to fill us in while he waited on one of the many flights he had to take between Israel, the U.K and the U.S. to make these videos happen. Luckily for us, we were able to get ahold of him and he was more than down to give us the answers we were looking for. Let’s see what he had to say!
I’m watching this video that Network A just dropped featuring the Deadline crew and all I can think about is the first line in the description. Did I miss something? Does an intern need to get slapped? What is happening? Somebody fill me in because I couldn’t focus on the video because I spent the whole time Googling this.
Edit: Although this is hands down one of the most butchered descriptions of a video… The riding is awesome. Just watch it and try not to lose your mind over the words.

While Kenneth Tencio is busy stacking clips for his new edit, he decided to go back over all of his past edits and pull out the best ones for a banger of a video. If you have seen footage of Kenneth before, you know he’s insanely good and this video proves it. Just hit play and try to keep the “holy shits” to a maximum.
Spotted this over on Can You Dig It and got so stoked. Shawn Shimkets did what a ton of us dream to do and that’s tear up the entire backyard to build a dialed set of trails to ride. This video gives you a look at the yard, some riding and the story of how these trails came to be. So good.

On Monday, the Prevail Skatehouse threw a BMX jam called “Monday Mayhem”. There were a ton of riders that turned out to ride this dialed park and Matt Nicklen was there to capture all of the riding that was going down. This edit is pretty raw but it gives you a good look at how the day played out. Take a peek!
Roy Van Kempen invited Mehdi Vivens on over to his place to film for this new Federal edit. As you can imagine, both of these guys put in some serious work for this one and ended up with a damn good video you gotta check out. Hit that play button because this is definitely one you need to see.
