Big Lou Edit
“We don’t even know Big Lou’s last name, but when Charlie Crumlish sends us a video saying that he’s psyched on it, I take his word for it. According to Charlie, “I saw some clips of “Big Lou” and it was crazy: bombing huge rails and ledges, so I asked him to come ride a few times. Three sessions gave us this video. I tried to tell a little bit of his story as well, but he’s a mysterious guy.” Big Lou hails from San Marcos, Texas, and as far as last clips go, this video delivers. Derek Nelson at HCS
“Remember Derek Nelson, the wheelcover guy from “Road Fools 13”? Well, he’s still on the scene, and still definitely doing his own thing. In the above, BMXFU rider Charlie Crumlish heads to Derek’s home at HCS in Vestal, N.Y. to interview Derek, ride the new creations at HCS, and get a look inside the mind of one of BMX’s most unique DIY personalities. Craig Passero – Not My Spot
“Typically, we do “My Spots” videos with pros that ride their go-to spot and discuss the inner workings of the place they call home. Stranger/Lotek pro Craig Passero, according to video producer and teammate Charlie Crumlish, is “too modest to call it ‘his spot’ and hates talking in front of the camera.” So Charlie did what he could, and with his new setup, came out with a pretty wild edit for a pre-fab park somewhere in the depths of Long Island, N.Y. Rye Airfield Rain Day with AOTC
“We were on a trip in Boston filming for the “AOTC 2” DVD and got rained out one day. So we made the drive up to New Hampshire and managed to get a free session in at Rye. We started riding, then realized the session ended at 8:45 p.m. and it was already 7 and we hadn’t even gotten the cameras out because everyone was having so much fun cruising around. So we hunkered down, everyone pitched in and a lot of luck made for a really solid edit. Everyone threw down for the last hour or so and we left exhausted but accomplished. When we started filming, I figured the project was doomed but it somehow turned out okay. Featuring members of the AOTC and BMXFU crew, and some new freecoaster footage.” – Charlie Crumlish / ESPN
